We visited in 2010 on a 2 week land/water trip. The park is the largest in the US, Alaska will take your breath away. Everything is so large and most of it undisturbed. We used Princess tours and it was great!

We stopped at the visitors center for lunch on our way from Valdez to Whitehorse. We had been seeing the views of the park especially the peaks of Wrangell and St Elias for quite a ways along the Richardson Highway before we stopped in. Walked...More

We stopped on our way to Valdez. The Visitor Center seemed relatively new. On a tight schedule, we took a very short trail for some great views. I liked the seeing the fish wheel.

We stayed for 2 nights at the Princess Copper River lodge. The scenery is amazing and the park is massive, the biggest one in the entire National Park system. Well worth a visit.

I’m in Alaska fininshing up going to all the National Parks. Wrangell-St. Elias is my 56th Park and it didn’t disappoint. The mountains are huge and the land isn’t spoiled. I never saw one piece of trash on the ground. If you are thinking about...More
