Amazing!

If you are in Zion, Angel’s Landing is a must. If you are not in shape, I would not recommend this hike. The views are worth it!

This is the coolest thing and you will feel SO accomplished when you finish it! It's like 2 straight miles of UP on the paved trail before you hit the chains and there isn't a single bad view. Once you get to the chains there was NO point where I really thought I was about to fall off that mountain. After the first 30-40 yards the rocks flatten out and you always have at least 3-4 feet of rock around you to walk on. Highly recommend. But, if you do it, plan to make it an all day thing. I had to rush through it due to time constraints and I already want to go back and spend a full half day or more appreciating the trail and views and time at the top.

Crazy Crazy…..

If you have panic attacks, issues with heights and ledges or vertigo, then this is not for you! One of our family members had a panic attack at the top. People die every year on this climb. Be prepared with water, protein snacks, the right shoes and nerves of steel. Not for the light hearted or sloppy climber.

Unforgettable hike and views
Oct. 2021 • Family
NOT a hike for the faint-hearted! The hike can be done, up and back, in a few hours, and isn’t too strenuous; however, the trail ascends a mountain that has steep drop-offs on both sides, and in places requires the hiker to hold onto chains imbedded along the trail (so you don’t slip off the trail and over the edge). If you’re not afraid of heights - then this hike is exhilarating! And the view from up top is unparalleled.

I feel sorry for the other hikes in Zion because everyone goes here. I did this 11 years ago and it was crowded but manageable. Now it’s a mad house; and we started early. Still, the moments you spend at the top make you glad you did it. Reservation system should return this to an all-around enjoyable experience.

Awesome views

You absolutely do not need to get here at the crack of dawn for this hike. We arrived at 4 and had zero crowds, no waiting to use the chains, and it wasn’t hot even though the high temp was 88 that day. Take your time, take plenty of water, and wear hiking shoes for better traction. Not everyone goes to the very top, which is FINE. There are SEVERAL places to stop on the way up and take beautiful pictures. No need to be a hero and reach the top if you don’t feel comfortable.

Not fond of heights?
Aug. 2021
I am afraid of heights however I was able to make it up Walter's Wiggles to Scout's landing. The view and appreciation for Angel's landing is well worth the hike. Tremendous workout.

Fantastic hike and incredible views

Got an early start from the lodge and really enjoyed this hike. Not a fan of heights, so I went as far as the first set of chains and enjoyed breakfast while getting some great views of the valley. I recommend hiking up the West Rim Trail about half a mile to get some nice pictures. Hiked down as hundreds of people were starting up, so this site must get really busy.

A Disneyland experience

Unfortunately, the crowds were HORRIBLE... climbing the chain section required MASSIVE wait times as people descended... It was like Disneyland on crack. Otherwise, gorgeous climb. Best part was soaking in the river when we hit the bottom.

A must visit park and hike
May 2021
A must do hike for sure. Have to reserve a shuttle tix before or one of the authorized shuttles. We used St. George’s shuttle. The hike is demanding but not impossible. Felt rewarding once you reach the top. A lot of people say it harder going down then up but I say exact opposite. Harder going up. Going down was easy.
