This hike is an absolute must when visiting Zion. We picked up the first shuttle at 6am which I highly recommend to avoid the crowds. The majority of the trail is paved/cracked concrete and sand up to the restroom area. From there on you'll need good hiking shoes for grip and be confident in climbing up sloped rock faces which... This hike was totally out of control, we loved it so much! The day we went on was so busy and it made the hike a little scary because you have to pass people on little narrow ledges that drop off 1500+ feet on both sides but overall it was fantastic. Take plenty of water and make sure the weather... More

I have climbed Angels Landing all 4 times I have visited Zion. It is, as advertised, something of a challenge, but most in decent health can make it. It is about 5 miles roundtrip and is easily accessible from the shuttle bus. The last half mile to the top is challenging and you have to hang on to a chain... More

We visited Zion and Grand Canyon in May and Angel's Landing is a must-do hike, one of my favorite now. It's very unique because there are about 3 sections to it: the first is a normal hike up the mountain, then you go into a lush canyon which shields you from the sun and cool you down, then the exhilarating... Words cannot describe the beauty and views at the end of this hike...well worth the time...very crowded on a Saturday so took over 45 minutes to hike this half mile one way.. DO NOT bring children on this hike...be prepared to wait for hikers on trial coming the other way you are going on this trial...be PATIENT and give and... More

My husband and i went up on a sunday. I stopped at the top. There were too many people on the trail for my liking. I didnt think it was safe at the very top. The path is a very steep climb mostly in the sun. It is paved. There is no water at the too but there are restrooms... More

This is one of the most amazing hikes I've ever experienced. I was a little nervous about the last 1/2 mile. But after the first 5 minutes, I became very comfortable with my footing (I was wearing standard running shoes). If you hold onto the chains, I found it to be very secure. I'm glad I didn't chicken out; the... More

I talked to many that walked the Angels Landing Trail and loved it. But it is steep and there is a part at the top that only one person at a time can cross. I talked to a park ranger from another park and he said he knows of too may deaths and would not do it or let his... More

Incredible views all the way up and down. Exposed trail, but surprisingly shaded by canyon. Pretty much straight up and straight down. Last section of trail has cables and is very narrow with steep drops, but it is fun. Pretty crowded, but people were patient about giving each other right of way. I recommend bringing a pair of grippy gloves... More

Originally planning to hike Kayenta trail, I turned right instead of left. OMG, this turned into an endurance trial trail with 1448' vertical rise. Two thirds of the trail is paved, but that didn't make it easy. There are plenty of turn outs to admire the majestic cliffs, and I used them all to catch my breath and pretend to... More
