A great place to see natural beauty of the country. A fairly stress free drive. It would have been better if there was a better place to turnaround at the east entrance.

This winding road takes you through Zion in your way the Bryce Canyon. Traffic moves well and space to park at viewpoints seemed adequate. Be aware that there can be a little wait at the tunnel as it seems they only let one direction of...More

This was quite simply one of the most beautiful drives that I have ever taken and was well worth the time and had many great and scenic stops along the way.

We spent almost half-a-day exploring and photographing this part of Zion. We stopped at many of the pull-outs to take photographs and look for wild flowers. The scenery is stunning and I found several rare plants, all within 50 feet of the pull-out. These are...More

I enjoyed this completely! Even in the height of summer, it wasn't difficult to see. Easy pull offs and photo opportunities with the drive. You are warned that the mile long tunnel has one way traffic controlled by the park Rangers at times, due to...More

We drove our RV through the south entrance and took the highway down to the bottom of Zion Canyon. It was a fun drive with lots of switch backs and wonderful views.

One of the best drives I have done in years, lots of twists in the road but worth it, enjoyed the tunnels with the window type opening in the side with great views. Well worth the trip. Note, if you want to drive through you...More

The east entrance is one that shouldn't be missed. From Checkerboard Mesa into the Tunnel and into Pine Canyon - it's beauty on a grand scale.

Nice drive to the entrance of a national park, free of big vehicles since they are not allowed to pass by. Very good introduction to Zion’s landscape.

This drive is just as amazing as being in the park and driving the scenic drive. The views are amazing, the switchbacks are thrilling, the tunnel is cool, it's all just wow! We had to wait over 10 minutes to go through the tunnel (I...More

No, It's on the east side of Zion and Springdale. If you are driving from St. George on Route 9 then you would reach it after you pass through Springdale and into Zion.

You can see the Arch from the drive down into the canyon from the tunnel. Some good pull-ins to view it, or the drive down the switchbacks is so slow (good) that you can simply view it from the car. Cannot help with the gps... More
