Even if you're not entering or exiting the canyon via this route it's definitely worth taking the drive up here and as you've time taking some of the shorter hikes which are accessible from the various pull outs and parking areas.

Very scenic, and a marvel of highway engineering. The tunnels are amazing and the switchbacks down into the canyon having stunning views. Take your time.

This was one of the most senic stretches of highway we have ever driven and started our National Park obsession. Watch out watch for wildlife if driving at night.

You can see the Arch from the drive down into the canyon from the tunnel. Some good pull-ins to view it, or the drive down the switchbacks is so slow (good) that you can simply view it from the car. Cannot help with the gps... More

Many RV's for sure. There is a tunnel so you might want to check height restrictions. I don't recall the max. Visitors center has lots of parking but even on a week day in late Oct it was almost full. I can't imagine what it... More

These are 2 different routes. Park at the visitors center to take the shuttle on THAT route through the park. The visitors center lot fills up very early in the morning and alternative parking is along the streets in the... More
