Stunning View! Be sure and take this scenic route when entering Zion National Park! The tunnel is cool, but way more cool are the stunning views when you exit and get to see the stunning views of Zion Canyon! God's creations are amazing!

If you are into tunnels, this one is great - one mile long through solid mountain, the views out the four ventilation windows are spectacular (just don't stop on the road). You will have to wait up to 15 minutes if a bus or RV is coming the opposite way as they are required to drive in the middle of... More

The tunnel gets an "average" rating simply because it is not really an "attraction" in and of itself - you drive through it. It certainly is amazing how it was constructed and it is very impressive, but you unfortunately do not have the ability to explore it, as you are limited to driving through it. The tunnel is one of... More

When you get a chance to drive a tunnel of this length and magnitude that was carved out of solid rock, well that a big WOW!. Started in 1927, it took 3 years to complete the mile long tunnel, It is incredible to consider the engineering and mining expertise needed to think the idea up, and then to do it,... More

This was and is great unless there's an accident or traffic is bad; then it gets backed up and you might sit in a queu for a good 30-45 minutes. But its the only way in and out, so what are you going to do! If its not busy, you can slow way down as you pass the "windows."

It is a long, dark and fascinating tunnel with few sources of natural light. Areas supplying the light also immediately stream in the views. They break the monotony of the tunnel. For me it was an example of quite interesting engineering idea. I enjoyed the experience.

We were under the impression that everyone had to pay to go through the tunnel, but when we got there the ranger gave us a stick and asked us to give it to the ranger on the other side. We realized we were the last car and they were holding everyone behind us up until some campers got through on... More

The tunnel isn't particularly long by European standards but it is very dark and that in itself felt quite strange. It is an amazing engineering feat that they were able to put this in this location. We arrived at the entrance to the tunnel just before 9.45am and didn't have to wait at all. On the way out of the... More

During our 2 night stay we drove through the tunnel 3 times! The first time driving the switchbacks is a little scary. One evening we saw an elk and another evening we were caught in a thunder and lightening storm. The heavy rain created waterfalls over the mountains - awesome
