We stopped here on way back to St George from Bryce. What a pleasant surprise. Its right off US 15, about a 5 mile drive to end. Scenery is terrific, and no crowds.

This hike is best done by entering at what I call the southern entrance to the park off of I-15. You must enter the visitor's center to pay for entrance to Zion. There are a number of hikes near this entrance, but the best is...More

If it's on your way, this is a nice little drive to take. Not crowded. Limited hikes. Better time to go is in the afternoon for pictures. In the morning, you are going to be shooting your pictures in to the sun.

We love the West, we love Zion, we love hiking....but we don't like all the folks who also are here to appreciate the beauty! We opted to enter Zion NP on the west side to start and we are glad we did. This portion is...More

Kolob Canyons is a beautiful little excursion right off of I-15. Stop at the visitors center and show your National Parks pass (or pay a small fee-- maybe $25 per car?) As you drive up the beautiful red dirt road, the views are simply amazing!...More

There's a visitors center at the entrance to Kolob Canyon where you're supposed to pay a fee if you don't have an annual pass.
