This trail had everything we wanted, it was a wonderful experience. Firstly, beautiful scenery - rocks, trees, flowers, wildlife (many different multicoloured butterflies, lizards, birds, tadpoles, water spiders to name only some) and a meandering murmuring creek which was easily crossed on numerous occasions. Secondly, a twisting path with gentle undulations so there was no boredom AND a long enough... More

What a great day for a hike, overcast, had rained durning the night. The peaks were covered with low clouds/fog it was awesome, sprinkled on us. I honestly feel that it was more than 5 miles round trip, the Fitbit said is was 7. We drove the road after the hike. I had a great day with my wife and... More

It was a fantastic hike. I would suggest going in the morning to avoid the people. We started around 8:45 or so and only saw two other people on the way out... coming back was another story. Also, watch the weather, you're crossing back and forth on the creek; I could see the water rising. In all it's a great... More

Did this hike the day after Angels Landing. While the views were less spectacular, it was a much more peaceful experience because of difficulty (less incline) and foot traffic. I wasn't sure what to expect at the end of the hike but was actually very impressed. The color of the canyons are incredible. Pictures can't do it justice.

Loved this hike, it's not crowded like all the other zion hikes. The scenery is beautiful. We got caught up in a little bit of rain while we were there which was pretty cool when we hit the arch alcove. It was dripping down the alcove... very pretty and peaceful. Walking back and forth in the creek was fun. Make... More

This is a five miler hike accessible from the Zion-Mt. Carmel Highway in the Kolob Canyons Road. When you look at the map, it is located on the northwest corner. But there is no access from Zion. You have to take 9 West, 17 North, then 15 North. The speed limit on some of these roads is 80 mph. Nice... More

Wear old shoes on this hike, because you have to cross the creek dozens of times. The views on the hike are incredible as you are surrounded by rock walls and cliffs. The hike is not terribly strenuous - it's fairly level.

There are two advantages of hiking this trail in the winter. First, the trail crosses Taylor Creek dozens of time and you don't need to worry quite so much about wet feet. Second, the trail is easy to follow. "Best Easy Day Hikes for Zion and Bryce Canyon" says the trail can be hard to find at times. On the... More

This was one of my favorite hikes while in Zion. Quiet with very few people, and beautiful fall colors
