Ok I’m relatively fit but tentative when it comes to rock scrambling and hanging on to chains at narrow strips of rocky outcrops hundreds of metres up. But I did it!!!

I completed this hike after returning down from Observation point (the trails connect)... There are chains you must use in certain spots, so if you are fearful of heights, it may be hard for you. I am scared of heights but didn’t think it was...More

This hike has portions where you’re holding chains because of drop offs. Seemed safe to me but make sure kids are cautious and have good balance (mine are 7 & 9 - the young one needed much assistance). Fun trail into a cool sandstone slot...More

Luke others mentioned- this hike had fewer people. I enjoyed the physical challenge of this hike and the beautiful scenery. Make sure to go far enough to see the little arch.

It's not very long and that's the bad part. I wish it were a couple more miles. The first part of the trail is pretty uninteresting because it's paved switchbacks. They were steep, but we live in the Rocky Mountains so we are used to...More

I really enjoyed the part of the trail that led to the canyon. The views were beautiful, there were chains at one point to hold on to but it was not too scary. That part of the trail was very slippery, the rocks were often...More

Not as scenic as some other hikes, but definitely worth a visit. The first portion was one and a half miles of a steady uphill slope, a bit tedious. Then there is a portion along a cliff where you need to hang on to chains....More

We only have time to take one good hike before the sun set early in December. The Hidden Canyon is a good one, even better than the Angel's Landing due to less people. After a few switchbacks, you walk along the edge of the canyon...More

Hidden Canyon was a really great and fun hike. It starts from the shuttle stop #7 - Weeping Rock and follows East Rim Trail as it switchbacks up the mountain for the first mile. Although it's steep, there are great views of Angels Landing and...More

If you want to go past the trail and actually go into the canyon it'll probably be too difficult for a 6 year old. Some of the areas required a bit of climbing
