Canyon Overlook Trail was much more than we expected from reading the brochure at the hotel which had it labels as easy-moderate. The National Park had it labeled as a moderate level which is more accurate. I would not recommend this hike for children who...More

This is an easy hike from the car tunnel entrance to an overlook over the great Zion arch. From the overlook you can see the entire canyon and the road as it zigs-zags down the mountain. The views of Pine Creek are intriguing and I...More

Stopped as we drove through the park on our way to Bryce. There is limited parking. Short hike but challenging at parts with drop offs. Wear good shoes. It was scary at times but also thrilling and fun and the views at the end were...More

From the park, drive through the tunnel and as soon as you exit try to find a place to park either in the very small lot or down the road a ways. The tunnel is amazing and at the overlook you will see the road...More

The first challenge you may face is finding a parking place and then finding the trail head. Heading into Zion you park on the right about a quarter of a mile or less before the tunnel entrance. If you are leaving Zion you park immediately...More

Though it's only .5, wear hiking shoes!! And bring a headlamp if you go at night. For a short 15-20 minute hike, you get a lot of bang for your buck with a cool trail and great views. Not super steep but not for those...More

Amazing view from this point, it is a nice not to long hike from the parking. There is not a lot of parking space. We got there early in the morning and were alone up there.

Came hereby recommendation of our B&B hosts, absolutely worth it. Missed the car park which is immediately after the tunnel but was able to park a little further on. The trail itself can feel a bit hairy (particularly pre dawn) but with caution is accessible...More

An easy one-mile hike that gives you a nice birds eye view of a slot canyon that then ends with a terrific view of the valley. From this vantage point you can see many of the major features of the main canyon.

Not the easiest trail. Not the shortest trail. Quite hairy at some parts. Quite narrow at some parts. Be careful. The view is to the tunnel where the cars come out.

I think you can (but check with nps website) as shuttle's only cover the area north of that turning. Be warned parking at the overlook trail is very limited so get there early.
