It's not easy, but it is worth it. For those of you unwilling to attack Angel's Landing, try the Watchman's Trail...it gives you a fantastic view. Take your time...pack a lunch...enjoy it!!

My daughter and I did this hike late in the day. It was long but the view at the end was spectacular. This is not a must-do trail but, if you have time, it is worth the hike.

I loved this hike. Very few people along this trail. . Amazing flowers and views. Tons of flowering cacti. Had a walking stick which was helpful.

The last day of our stay in Zion we hiked the watchman before leaving. It's a short 2.7 mile hike which climbs steadily from the visiter centre to a stunning vista point, with great views of the watchman and Springdale. This is rated as moderate in the guide but was easy in my opinion although it is not paved. If... More

Lovely trail at the start of the park. Highly recommended. Lovely flowers and wildlife on the trail, stunning views and not too difficult. No sheer drops but you are rewarded with a lovely view at the top and on the journey. Trail starts and finishes along the Virgin River, which is delightful to stop for a paddle if not flowing... My husband and I hiked this trail as our first hike at Zion. It was a nice first trail, taking less than 2 hours round trip. The view was nice and it was very relaxing first thing in the morning before the park gets too crowded. (We started this hike around 7:30am). After this hike, we were able to do... More

The location and difficulty of The Watchman Trail makes it a perfect starter, if you plan to spend a bit of time in Zion. The trailhead is located right next to the visitor centre so we decided to finish our day with this hike after we had already completed a couple earlier on. It's not too steep and the quality... We arrived in Zion at 6 pm just as the visitor center was closing. This was the trail that was suggested to us. It is a 2 hour trail and it was perfect for a sunset hike. It is considered a moderate hike and the views at the top are gorgeous. If it weren't for the fact that we wanted... More

I didn't know what to expect from this trail but really loved it! As most of the trails in the park, it does climb, but it's worth it. The wildflowers are beautiful and the view at the top is breathtaking. I heard that it's a great place to go for the sunsets but we were a bit too early for... More
