This is a long trail and our kids didn't like the endless switchbacks. The view from the top, I hear was great, but our 7 and 9 year olds got bored and we didn't make it to the top.

We hiked this in late December. The park had just gotten about 12 inches of snow, and the trail was quite muddy at the beginning. The trail dried out and then became a bit icy around the shaded part of the canyon. We were glad...More

The best parts about this hike are the views and that its not crowded, at least when I went. I think people overlook this trail as its from the main parking area. But its a good one especially for sunset.

We walked into the park from Springdale and went straight to the Watchman Trail as it takes off from the Visitors Center. Pretty good elevation gain but well worth the effort.

Steep in places but manageable. Good place for sunset views. Take plenty of water. Interesting for plants and rocks.

This is a nice trail that begins at the visitor center and heads up to a high lookout over the canyon. The trail climbs but is mostly gradual and not too difficult. The views from the top are great. There is a short loop at...More

Classed as moderate as there is a 300 feet elevation gain. Good views from the viewpoint in the loop section at the top.

We hiked Watchman Trail as the last trail of a 2 day trip to Zion NP. It took us around 3 hours RT, which included breaks and stopping at the top for pictures and to enjoy the views. It rained almost the entire day, but...More
