I love Zion and have visited many times. This trip we did some hikes in Kolob and Kenarraville that I had not done, but were worthwhile and uncrowded: La Verkin Creek near the finger canyons of the Kolob Northgate Peaks Overlook Trail off the road...More

My wife and I hiked the La Verkin Creek Trail to the Kolob Arch and back in one day in early May. The hike was unforgettable! The views are unlike anything I've ever seen. You begin by hiking along Timber Creek through Kolob Fingers. Be...More

This trail is both beautiful and lightly traveled by hikers. If you pick the off season you may get lucky and have it all to yourself, as i did.

Well marked, steep descent to valley, nice primitive camping spots, permit required. Best in late spring and fall, sandy trail. Kolob arch trail difficult, however 2 hikers with water shoes just walked up the stream to the arch and said easier route, we had taken...More

This hike down the laverkin creek trail from Lee's pass was studied for months, even many you tube videos were watched yet nothing prepared us for this hike down to campsite 4. The hike was 11 miles down to campsite 4 over some of the...More

We took these trails the day after a storm. Small parts of the trail had washed away and other parts had been inundate by run off sand and dead foliage. Despite this we were able to follow the trail pretty well and it was a...More

This trail starts at the Lee Pass Trailhead in the Kolob Canyons section of Zion. It's a steady downhill through beautiful scenery from the pass as you make your way south. Since I was trekking across the park, it was relatively easy, but I imagine...More
