This is a farm stay where facilities and shared with the owners. Very friendly and welcoming and run on sound environmental principals with their own wind generator supplying most of the energy. Cold breakfast with fresh baked bread and preserves all home made and very tasty. Great overnight stay ready for the helicopter to Lundy in the morning.

This is an 'add on' to a working farm, with sample species of Lavender and a small Cafe, all family run/owned.

Really recommend this tea garden, preferable to some of the others in the nearby area. Lovely fields of lavender.

My favourite cake changes all the time - coffee and walnut, coconut and lavender, chocolate brownies, lemon and lavender...... and then there is the homemade icecream to choose from. Maybe next time you visit you could try the homemade toasted teacakes, made with 100% organic ingredients? Look forward to your visit. More

Camped here for a week in August. The site is lovely. The best thing about for us (a childless couple who don't really like kids all that much) was the fact that it is adults only! The toilet/shower facilities were basic but very clean. The site was freshly mowed and obviously well maintained. There are electric hook-ups and hard standing... More

Thank you for your lovely review. With regards the cockerels, we were visited by Mr Fox, so they are no longer with us. We still have our lovely Devon cows, geese and ducks though, so there are plenty of country sounds around. Hope to see you again soon. More

There is so much more to see than just lavender at Cheristow Lavender. The secret garden walk is excellent value at £2.50 so make sure that you include this extra allowing you to see the geese, ducks, chickens, bees and coppiced woodland plus the fantastic wild life gardens and the horticulture (outdoor veg & growing houses). There are many environmental... More

All homemade cakes and proper china just as a tearoom should be. Other food is available, salads and light lunches all freshly prepared. Visit can also include a wander through the secret garden which is a haven of plants and a tranquil place to sit, free of charge but you can put a donation towards upkeep if you wish. I love... Thank you for your lovely review. As of 2017 we are only serving cream teas, cakes, and savoury scones, all made with organic ingredients. Oh, and our lovely homemade icecream. We will also be closed from 17th May to 17th June due to farming commitments. Open Weds to Sat March to October. Hopefully see you again soon. More

We enjoyed a trip to Clovelly yesterday, despite the heavy shower as we trudged back up the hill, and then looked around Clovelly Court Gardens - which I believe would have served the rectory where Charles Kingsley lived as a child when his father officiated there. After that we decided to head for Hartland, and that it was time to... More

These two lovely people opened up their tea rooms for me on Sunday as my husband had a green burial at Atlantic Rest. Mike and I had visited The Tea Rooms on numerous occasions so it was lovely to be able to have the tea rooms for close friends and family afterwards. They had worked so hard and produced a... More

Having been staying local to Cheristow Lavender Farm, we decided to go for a cream tea. The cream tea was very enjoyable, service friendly and attentive, but unfortunately we were there at a time when the gardens weren't at their best. Not the fault of the Farm, but our timing.
