As we had docked in Valletta awaiting our flight home, we decided that we would take the bus to the Blue Grotto. You need to take the No. 74 bus from Valletta Bus station which runs only once an hour. The bus drops you at...More

We've been to the Blue grotto in Capri but this one is far superior! The boat ride costs 4€ per person and it's well worth it. The layered rocks have different colors inside the caves.

What a cool place! The boat takes you to various different caves, and the colour of the water is unreal. It is quite a short boat trip, but I would definitely recommend it. It is certainly the best way to see the Blue Grotto. We...More

I’m not normally the one for ‘organised experiences’ like a tourist boat trip, but my wife persuaded me - and I loved it! There were just 6 of us (plus the boatman) in a small rowing boat with an outboard motor on a gloriously sunny...More

Took the 74 from Valletta, and stopped off at Ħaġar Qim first, as would then be a downhill walk to the boats for the blue grotto. Tickets are a set price, and then you are ushered onto one of the available boats ... there were...More

The official boat tour is way to quick for you to really see the caves unfortunately and they even pester you for tips half way along to spend more time in then. The brash way the tours are conducted put you off enjoying the amazing...More

15-20 min tour. Up close views of the caves. Beautiful clear blue water. Photo ops everywhere you look. 6-8 people to a boat. Would've made it better if the boat operator gave us information on what we were looking at. Still a worthwhile thing to...More

Probably the most amazing place for water lovers in Malta along with the blue lagoon in Comino but the offical boat ride at €8pp is a rip-off as the boat drivers don't even stay for more than mere minutes in any of the caves which...More

We visited in the off season and there were no boat tours. Boy, were we upset! It's beautiful from afar but I can't imagine getting up close and personal. Highly recommend.

There is a steep path with wooden blocks on, or there is a small windy road which is not so steep which can take you to where the boat tickets can be bought... if you drilldown on a satellite image in google maps you can see... More

Bus 74 is going directly from Valetta to Blue Grotto (Valetta A5 - Panorama). Google Maps works pretty good as traveling guide👍
