We stopped in here for a quick coffee and browse and were well impressed with the lovely gardens. Proprietor was friendly, a variety of stock was available and the gardens are a great place to take a quick walk.

It is always a surprize when a real gem appears on your holiday journeys in the middle of nowhere. The Gift Shop/Factory/Cafe and Grounds made a late afternoon stop very memorable............a quiet relaxing environment for all family members. A small welcome gift of soap on arrival and a memory stone on departure - all adding the experience.

owner was friendly, 5km drive out of Owaka, found the soaps a little old fashioned, but otherwise the trip was good, they have a cafe attached which on the day I went was closed so can not rate them on this.

You must take a few minutes to visit here if you are in the area. The gardens around the grounds are beautiful. Smell the flowers then go into the building and smell the soaps. So many beautiful varieties to choose from, all made on site. A lovely place to stop and shop plus have a coffee, sit and admire.

We loved our visit to the Catlins Soap Company: the shop was full of locally made products including soaps manufactured on the premises. After shopping we strolled around the beautiful grounds. This is a great place to get ideas for your rose garden or cut-flower beds. The horse and sheep and dog were just the cutest, too. A lovely place... More

Jude was the guest speaker & gave a great overview of the business. She had lots of goods to purchase at reasonable prices plus gifts for us all. Beautifully crafted soap is also well presented. A great guest speaker & I hope to visit the factory at some stage.

We have visited twice, on both occasions as part of a club outing. The owner (Jude) is very welcoming and friendly and full of enthusiasm for soap making. The place had grown and developed a lot since our first visit and there is now a beautiful garden (available for weddings!) and a gift shop as well. The soap is wonderful... More
