we have tried twice to visit the museum. last year we arrived to find it was closed as the staff were on strike, this year we arrived and found that contrary to the guide information it was no longer open on saturdays. ho hum next...More

Tried to visit on a Saturday without success. Gatecrashed an organised visit to the adjacent Teriade Museum, specially opened for a group. The Theofilos Museum is now only open during normal office hours on weekdays.

The most famous local painter who lived in poverty and painted just for his food. He mainly painted walls of old local and traditional cafe stores.

Needs more displays in English. Also many of the displays were photos and not the original, however, the mosaics are wonderful!

Well laid out. An insight into this famous Greek artist. A bit out of the way, but well-worth the visit. Primitive art at it's best. A trip through Greek history and folk life.

This gentleman was a naive painter which later became famous.I understand that naive painting can be a good art form but ,with my apologies , I did not like what I saw . Sorry !
