The waterfall just above Mae Kampong is also worth a visit.
In the middle of the forest - but only a few steps from the road is the beautiful, romantic waterfall.
You can also easily walk up to it.
It is also ideal for taking beautiful pictures
There is a transfer option from the village for 20 Tbh per person

My driver brought me here after Mae Kampong, i love the place as it is a small waterfall and accessible.

There are small pools are the base, one can soak one feets there and enjoy the cold water.

Thankfully there are no shops/cafe here to spoil the mood, i love the peace and quietness except for the rush of the waterfalls.

Lots of stairs, not recommend for disabled or old age. I'm such a teenage girl but it so exhausted with climbing. But, yes It worth a climb, peaceful and not busy at all. when you finish the clime. You can go travel the Mea Kampon village, let's have a coffee time.

I nice waterfall which is worth an hour visit at most. I appreciate the ladders and steps which allow you to climb to the top and take some fun photos. Also, there's a wading pool at the first waterfall which had me tempted to swim and relax, however it was an overcast day and other tourists were arriving so there was no privacy. The waterfall is a bit small if many tourists are there but is lovely if you're all alone. Perhaps I've been to too many waterfalls in the past so this place seemed like another generic waterfall to me, however I'm glad I visited.

This is a really beautiful waterfall. The path is quite steep and uneven so it's good to wear proper shoes. It might be quite slippery in the rain.

On Thursday afternoon the 27th September we travelled into the mountains about an hour’s drive east of Chiang Mai to stay the night and also visit the Mae Kompong Waterfall. I'd never been here and my wife had told me that many people came here to take photos of it. This is a 7 Tier/section waterfall and although it is similar to Cha Son Waterfall, it is not as high but it’s very different in the way it flows down the mountain. It’s a long drive just to see this waterfall

This waterfall is located about 10 minutes drive from the center of Mae Kampong Village. It is often included in the itinerary for visitors to Flight of the Gibbon. The waterfall itself is located right next to a small road, but visitors can opt to walk up a series of steps leading to higher levels of the waterfall (about 10 minutes only to reach the top). Visitors who are not so fit or not into climbing may still enjoy the falls from near the road. I was very surprised at the total height of the falls. Even at the time of my visit in December (early dry season), there was a good flow of water coming over the falls; it must be very impressive during rainy season!

The village was very unique and served really exotic foods which we all tried great views from the top of the village and the trek through the jungle was really nice and the waterfall at the end was really wonderful. The steps going up to the waterfalls upper levels were very slippery so be careful.

Nice small waterfall. Many tier you can take steep path up and up to view the falls higher and higher. Not for swimming though.
