The trail is well-marked, has very little elevation gain, and is not too long, about 2.3km in and out. There are several coves and "watches" to explore on the way. The Auk is OK, but can't really compete with the whales and glaciers we saw just off the point.

Such a great hike. Beautiful views of the ocean everywhere you go. One of the spectacular artists studios is along the trail. Lots of amazing rock formations, some boardwalks and bridges, and bogs.

This trail was scenic and fairly flat, it wasn't busy, we only saw a few other people in early days of province re-opening for western Canadians. People are so friendly in NL, smiles are infectious.

Easy walk along the coastline to the Auk statue that stands in honour of the now extinct Auk bird. The statue is about 6 feet
Tall and is surrounded by great views of the rocky coastline.
The bird faces the coast of Iceland presumed to be the closest land east of the Auk.
Enroute you will pass the Long Studio and several points to sit and take in the views

We loved this trail - our favourite on Fogo Island. Beautiful coastal views and great to see the Auk and the Long Studio. We continued beyond the Auk to the point, where there is a signal light, but we regretted it. It took a lot longer to go that extra leg than expected and with only a day on the island we felt our time would have been better spent elsewhere as that extra leg doesn't add much to the hike, just more of the same. If you have lots of time on Fogo, go for it, but if time limited, turn back at the Auk.

A great walk along the coast, easy enough for small kids to do. Interesting points of interest along the way about the old hunting spots used over the generations.

The trail is mostly flat but good footing is required. Along the trial one can see the Long studio and views of the Fogo Inn across the water. Many spots along the way to have a seat. The great Auk is at the end of the trail.

While this walk is for the most part flat, it is important to wear sturdy shoes as the way can be uneven. It is a gorgeous walk along the shore with a few points of interest that allow you to pause and take in the view, sights and fragrance of the experience. Go out to the end and kiss the Great Auk which points to it's counterpart in Iceland!

Pleasant easy hike with some interesting shoreline scenery as well as the opportunity to see Caribou. The trail is easy to follow and there are some rest areas with benches along the way. There is an artist studio along the way which looks totally out of place, and I strongly disagree with the comments that this structure compliments the landscape.
