Went here as a stop on our journey South. It is approached along small winding roads but is certainly worth going. The citadels is more or less intact although in the French way parts have been rebuilt. The ramparts are good to stroll around giving...More

What a lovely, fascinating place to visit. Walk around the ramparts at your own pace? Information panels (in French and English) explain the history. There are a few shops and cafe/bar/restaurants but it is almost devoid of traffic and really peaceful. We ate an excellent...More

Great place with massive history attached. The walk along the Ramparts alone is worth the drive there. Nice assortment off shops and restaurants to make it a pleasant afternoon outing.

Lovely little town to visit on an evening. Sleepy but very pretty. A couple of quiet restaurants. Shame about the local lad blasting out music wherever we went. Maybe he doesn't like tourists?!

The military buildings still exist and the church has a good exhibition showing the towns historical links to early settlers...More

This is a fascinating place that us a must visit if you are in the area. We wandered the battlements with the kids (15,13,9,7) and they enjoyed it hugely. The little village inside is also nice with few shops, particularly in the old stables by...More
