We visited the newly built Buddhist Qingshui Rock Temple, Anxi County, Quanzhou. It is very ornate, and built in traditional ancient architecture.

Far from city. Public bus available but not much information. Suggest to book a car to the temple. Entrance fees RMB20 each. Nice scenery.

Qingshui Rock, also known as Qingshui Yan, is a must visit place in Anxi, and very popular among tourists. I will recommend early winter as the best time to visit the temple. It is this period that you can see the true beauty of the temple. Reason is because it is cooler to walk up the stairs, and there are patches of mist surrounding the temple to create that mystical ancient feel. The temple is a few hundred years and popular among foreigners. You can also relive the beauty of Anxi by admiring the scenery below the temple for stunning views. A must visit place in Anxi.

A stunning temple. It was rebuilt about 60 years ago, but the deity statues are very very old. Run by a friendly Buddhist monk, it would be hard to find a more impressive temple to visit in Fujian procince. As a temple fanatic (I have visited over 300 Chinese temples in 5 countries - its my job) I highly recommend a half day trip here to enjoy the temple, a d to watch the sunset view over the mountains.

It is really breathtaking in both scenery and for my body. The walk up to the temple is really tiring and far.

However it's really worth it. The scenery at the top is really beautiful. And the temple is really big. The scenery along the way is really good too!

But getting to the place might be a little hassle so renting a taxi or follow a tour bus might be a better choice.

nice bird eye view of Anxi on a good day. This place sits atop amountain, housing budhist relics and temples dating back as far as Song Dynasty ( 1000 years ago)

I rented a car with driver (Chinese and dialect speaking only) and departed from my hotel in Fengchengzhen (the city centre of Anxi County). I had a small group
of 4 passengers. It took just 30 mins to reach the car park of the temple after
paying admission fee of RMB-20 per person. From here ,visitor has to walk along
a beautiful path to the temple. There are many steps to climb but visitor get to enjoy
the breath-taking scenery while walking up to the temple.
This temple, seated on top of a cliff, looks most beautiful from the outside. However it is not as spacious in the inside. It is worth a visit if you are a Buddhist or if you like ancient architectures.

One of the most breath-taking scenery that I had ever seen. The cliff overlooks the whole of Anxi County and gives a refreshing feeling away from the urban life.
