I have been on this mine tour twice and would go again. If you have never been in a mine this is an eye opener. Regardless of how hot a day it is outside dress warm for the tour. I believe the walk is approximately 1000 feet into the mine. At the 1000 foot mark there is a thermometer and... More

We went to this coal mine tour never expecting such a wonderful history lesson. The staff was excellent and it was well worth the tour. Don't miss it. A great hidden jewel near Franks Slide.

My family took the tour through the underground mine - it was so neat to experience a form of mining that isn't used in North America (or barely now). My husband's family are miners who mined near Drumheller, so seeing this type of mine was very interesting as well. And yes, it is COLD when you get to the end... More

Another summer day trip from Calgary and we'll worth the drive. Our guide into the mine was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the mine and made the experience fun and interesting. It was brisk in the mine and we were so grateful to have dressed warm for the walk in. My children of 10 and 12 were not bored... More

The tour itself was not overwhelming, or exciting, but a very good historical look at coal mining and the hardships involved. Pictures do NOT do this place justice, so if you want to feel what the miners felt in the early 1900s, stop in for a visit, and dress warmly .. it's cold inside a mountain !!

What a great tour, for about an hour we journeyed in to Bellevue Coal Mine with one of their knowledgable tour guides. There is no going down you walk straight in, so this tour would be great for anybody. Affordable and fun, check it out while driving through the Crowsnest.

the staff are warm and welcoming. the guides were helpful and super knowledgeable. the mine is fascinating and eerie. highly recommend this stop in the Crowsnest Pass, especially on a hot day to take advantage of the mine's coldness. have young children bundle up, pants and long sleeves for wee ones!

We went to experience this activity on a very hot day in the summer. It was close to 40 degrees Celsius the day we went. We thought it might be nice to get out of the heat for a while. We almost turned down the warm poncho's they offer at the beginning of the tour. By the time we were... More

Very happy with our decision to tour the mine. Our guide was great (missed his name as they just slid us in last minute to make the tour and not have to wait until the next one), he very knowledgeable, friendly, funny, engaging and was great with some special needs kids on the tour who had a little anxiety about... Tour inside a coal mine with tunnels that could stretch all the way to Calgary? C'mon that's awesome! Very unique and special experience. The staff are friendly and knowledgable and the inside of a turn of the century coal mine is a great experience. My 7 year old son loved it too. He loved the stories of how rookie miners... More
