This ancient church is in need of attention - so go along and have a look and please pop some money in the restoration box. If you have a car, this church is worth a visit. It has several unusual features of which I found the most notable to be the interior treatment of the roof.

We were staying at theVerandah Hotel. We drove our rental car into St. John's and on the way back took a road up to the coast to see the church. I am not sure what road we took-signs are not frequent in Antigua-but we shared the road with a large flock of goats. The few cars on the road weaved... More

We found this church via a rental car from St John’s port and it’s a shame that it isn’t promoted more for tourists. Parham is the oldest town in the country (established in 1632) and very much off the beaten path - near the Harbour with the same name in the northern area of the island. This church is one of my favorite places on the island. The wooden ceiling is like nothing you've seen before -- stunningly beautiful and you can get some amazing photos. Parham is definitely off the beaten path and we didn't see any other tourists when we walked into the tiny town. But we loved the church and the overgrown graveyard... More
