I reviewed this along side Nelson's dockyard - it is interesting but needs some revamping. It looked very tired and the placement of artifacts higgeldy piggedly and not very well thought out. Having said that, it is still worth a visit.

His is a great little museum within the Nelson Dockyard area. You are free to wander around at your leisure and spend as much or as little time looking at and reading about the artifacts as you might wish.

Stopped here as part of an island tour and this is part of Nelson Dockyard. I wouldn't have a special trip for the museum but it's worth a visit as part of the dockyard.

Pretty cool spot with some interesting history. After eating at Cloggys, we drove down to Nelson's Dockyard and walked around/shopped. If you like history, spend some time in the museum, we spend 20 mins looking around. Just walking around the old buildings is cool and...More

This was built for Admiral Nelson but he never lived here. It is now a small museum which is worth visiting if you are at Nelsons Dockyard. Has some really interesting historical items.

Whilst in the dockyard during our bus tour of the island we visited this small museum where we learnt a lot about about the British navy and Nelson in particular. Would have liked to spend more time here because our group were rushed.

Only a small museum but well worth a visit. Plenty of interesting exhibits. In a very nice building too.

There were some really good exhibits about the history of the dockyard and personal stories of the inhabitants.

The museum tells you about the dockyard with some great learning bites and memorabilia. There is a great section dedicated to nelson with some of his belongings. Wonderful to walk around.

This was my favorite part of Nelson's Dockyard. Take the time and explore and read about what it is you are seeing at the museum rather than just walking through. It is not real large so it won't take real long and you will walk...More
