We have spent 10 days at Vela as a group of 4 people. My friends were renting and I took kite lessons there. Prices are slightly higher than on the other spots around but it is absolutely worth spending. The equipment is very good and the staff is customer-oriented and very friendly. Ruben was the best kite instructor I ever... More

I have been to Vela for kiteboarding twice this year. I took 5 lessons in January and liked Aruba and the experience so much my wife and I came back in March. I had the pleasure of working with Jos Watterreus for most of my lessons. He was everything you would want in an instructor; friendly, patient, encouraging and always... More

My wife is an experienced windsurfer who hadn't been for 15 years, and I am a beginner. We both had a great experience with Vela! All of the staff were helpful and friendly. I took a lesson with Nigel and he helped my wife pick the right board and sail for the conditions and her skillset. I was gradually moved... More

My husband and I recently returned to Aruba for our third visit, and stayed in the Bucuti & Tara Resort. They offered many work out alternatives, including doing Paddle Board Yoga at Eagle Beach. I signed up, and when I showed up was the only one who had. The instructor was Adriana Stan, a young Yoga instructor who was delightful.... More

Vela Aruba Sports helps you to get active. At Vela I had an unforgettable sunset yogaclass with the beautiful Adriana, and trained my core muscles in a SUP Yoga class with Nathalie. If you are not into yoga you could take windsurf or kitesurf classes or rent a bike. If you prefer to relax Vela Sports Aruba provides some comfortable... More

I rented equipment from Vela and had a great experience. They had a smooth online ordering process, and an easy and straightforward location (between the Marriott and Hyatt). You can take a taxi here, or the bus - there is at stop right in front of the Marriott. Head through the resort and past the Starbucks (!!) and it is... More

I was very impressed with Jos at Vela after talking with him about learning to kite. he was very patient and polite with me as a new student. he took the time and did not hurry. he covered all the grounds of safety and practiced re-enforcing the skills to control the kite and how to use it. following me in... My husband and I are beginner kiteboarders. We took a few semi private lessons from Jos Waterreus at Vela Sports Aruba who was so patience with us. Jos taught us within our comfort zone and safety always comes first. Aruba has flat water and no shorebreaks so easier for beginners except that the wind can be a little gusty. Also... More

I had a fantastic time doing kitesurf with Vela during my stay in Aruba. It was my first time ever, and my instructor Tymo was amazing and got me hooked to the sport!! I highly recommend Tymo to anyone looking to take kitesurfing lessons, but rest assured that everyone at Vela is very friendly and that they are excellent at... More

Definitely recommend them for yoga - both beach yoga and SUP yoga. Their yoga teachers are great (shout out to Adriana!). The beach yoga mats are actually attached to wooden boards, so you have a very stable surface. The SUP yoga is amazing!! We also used their stand up paddleboards just to paddle around the beach everyday. Service was always... More
