It's pretty educational with a decent number of samples - but it's not at the production site where the stills are it's at the bottling plant. There is a bar, gift shop and restaurant

The tour off the ship was enjoyable due to the delightful personality of the guide and a good sampling of the different rums. But the prices of the Mount Gay rums in their store were exorbitant compared with purchasing the same bottle in the United States. Barbados was the first island to distill very good quality rum but most were... More

First off, the tour starts off with rum punch and it gets better from there. I ended up doing the cocktail tour and our guide really did a great job. She was very informative, funny and knowledgeable of all things rum at Mount Gay. I'm a lover of rum so all the sampling of cocktails and of various rums created... More

This tour was very informative about the history of how it came about, the history of the distillery and how Rum is aged - interesting on all counts. Our guide Rumawl was very good, humorous and attentive to his audience. I appreciated the fact that I mentioned to the front desk that I needed to sit down because I couldn't... More

The young lady whom gave us the tour was witty, pleasant and humorous. Four of us took the abbreviated tour at $15US each. There was a more expensive tour but let's face it, it's rum. We had a small tour of the facility and watched a video on the history of the distillery that was very informative. Unfortunately we didn't... More

We enjoyed the tour today for $30BDS each. The verbal information part of the tour is fairly quick and they give you a 7 minute video to watch. We did get to see the bottle factory in action which was neat. You get to try 5 different types of rum included in the tour. You can try the 1703 rum... More

Originally signed up for the tour but as we just missed one we decided to not wait for the next. They allowed us to transfer that payment to samplings instead, in which I found a new favorite rum (unfortunately it is only available on the island). The staff are friendly, the atmosphere is nice.
