Four of us have just had 3 days at Royal Westmoreland on the way home from gorgeous Grenada. What a contrast! After being charmed by everyone we met in Grenada, the beauty of the place and sensible cost of car hire, eating out, attractions etc. we arrived in overpriced Barbados. The golf course was everything we expected - challenging, reasonably... More

Didn't play here, far too expensive, membership is $19000 US in the first year! Had a great club sandwich and enjoyed the surroundings over a nice cold beer and a glass of white wine. Spoke to four golfers who were members at Wentworth, who said they couldn't afford to play at Sandy Lane. More of that later.

We were bitterly disappointed by our round at this famed course. The price is ridiculously high and we expected some sort of welcome, a well maintained course and the sort of services justified by the excessive price. A sulky reception, bags unwillingly unloaded (and no one there to reload at the end). Whole attitude of staff was "couldn't give a... More

I have been travelling to Barbados for many years, enjoying both Sandy Lane, Royal Westmoreland Royal villas and various beach villas on the way Barbados was always a great summer destination for a golfer due to it's excellent selection of courses, we also come in Nov each year for a week and golf every day, unfortunately I fear this year... This is a great course, it can be challenging and the greens are very difficult to read. There are great views from many of the tees. Whether you are playing 9 or 18 you finish at the beautiful club house. After a hard day golfing why not pop in and have a glass of your favourite tipple.

We stayed at the royal Villas 18, 3 bedrooms huge living area and a 2 minute walk from communal pool. Only down side is you quite isolated and are 15 minutes drive to Hole town, where all the restaurants and shops. There is a shuttle bus that goes to Mulling bay beach club with a nice little beach, and beach... More

Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. I am sorry you felt our clubhouse was expensive for drinks but of course in order for internal food outlets across resorts and hotels in Barbados to survive a very long low season you will find prices higher than external local outlets. We do hope to welcome you back... More

I've been lucky enough to see this course from a few different perspectives. As a resident of Royal Westmorelands and as a tourist. It's a golf course with a great vantage point looking down to the West Coast of Barbados but with tropical lush green scenery directly surrounding each hole. The course itself is no slouch and the pins move... More

Don't go!! The course is pretty. We saw monkeys. There it ends. It was very expensive, more expensive than the Sandy Lane Country Club and nowhere near as good. $540 US for two, and you get no water, no GPS, no beverage cart on the course. We didn't see any on course rest-rooms/toilets either. The course is not in as... More

Thank you for taking the time to review our golf course. I am sorry to hear the golf course and overall experience did not live up to your expectations. Please understand that been a private members club that allows limited visitor play is a different scenario to a public access resort course which you compare us to. We of course... More

Royal Westmorland is a fantastic golf course with lots of changes of elevation. It is kept in first class condition and has an amazing club house. Bit pricey but well worth it and cheaper than Sandy Lane.
