It was a great experience to see the area where Chris Columbus first landed. The native cuban performance was awesome. Recommended.

Christopher Columbus Natural Park comprises a flat-topped mountain commonly called The Saddle of Gibara which is described by the Genoese Admiral in his journal when he first landed on the island of Cuba in 1492. A tourist attraction that's a little contrived and will cost you $8 to enter and then tips for all the different guides, You'll need to come either by tour bus, taxi or hire car,

Entrance fee is 8 pesos per adult. There's no map of where everything is located so you have to go exploring. There's plaques and monuments commemorating anniversary of Columbus landing here in 1492. There's a restaurant on top of a hill, very nice inside. There's a Taino village and cross indicating where Columbus came ashore.

This is the kind of place that is worth going to if there is an event happening or for a quiet drive to a beach, but could be boring on a tour bus. There is a monument that represents the meeting of European culture ( Columbus ) with Cuba's Taino Indian culture on the way into the park, a restaurant... More

We had a stop at the monuments as part of the jeep tour. The scenery is breathtaking and the colours are so vibrant. The pillars are beautiful but the brown statues are kind of fake looking and other than that there really isn't much else there. I could easily see how Christopher Columbus said it was the most beautiful place... More
