Was a wonderful full day excursion. With the "Jeep Tour" you are driven by an SUV that holds the driver plus 6 people to a lookout point, a stop at a coffee processing farm with the ability to see the production methods and for $2 try the wonderful rum coffee with awesome Peanut and honey bar. You can buy the... More

If you want an off-the-beaten path, nature tour of Cuba, a visit to Parque Guanayara is for you. Our trek began with a bouncy, breezy ride on old Russian transport trucks (our guide called these a Russian massage) to the start of a 2-mile hike (seemed longer) along the Centinelas del Rio Melodioso Trail. The trail follows the river valley... More

It is a fabulous natural park with all endemic types and a nice walking parqur. There is a faterfall and you can swim in its lake. We san the special cuban bird there. We bought a track tour from havanatour for 47 cuc/ person ( lunch included) our guide Alex was lovely: multilingual, has sense of humour. He is one... More

Visited here as part of a tour by Cubatur, booked in the Trinidad office. The park follows the valley of a river, so while it has the odd steep bit, it is not treacherous or relentlessly hilly. There are three waterfalls to visit and you can swim in one of the larger pools. Definitely worth it after a hot walk.... More

I am sure you can get there by cab, but probably best to take a tour with a guide. We were in a convoy of two Hyundai Santa Fe with one guide. The are also open air Russian transports that do the tour. We walked in one end and out the other end of the park. A great walk with... More

From all walking routes available Parque Guanayara hosts probably the area’s most scenic ones. An easy to intermediate hike follows the Guanayara River for a few kilometers up to the Salto El Rocío, a beautiful waterfall, which concludes with the Poza del Venado, featuring a natural pool in which visitors can and do cool off. Along the trail you will... More

We had a trip with travel agency from Trinidad. We had a chance to see a house of Cubans living in park. Then we took a walk with guide. During the walk we saw amazing waterfalls, forest forms, coffee plants etc. Great experience longer than EL Nicho trip.

Visited this park last week , it was 3 hours from Cayo Santa Maria but well worth it . Travelled with Gaviota Tours. Up in the mountains you get transferred to a large beast of a truck . It takes you to one of the entrances of the park .Wow up and down the hills on this loud machine. At... More

We booked in Cubanaturs, TrinIdad, for a truck tour . It was breathtakingly lovely, very interesting (our guide was full of interesting facts about plants and animals) and the swim in the cool waterfall was fabulous. Highly recommended.

It was a two days trip from Havana. I booked it in a Cubatur Agency located in Habana Libre Hotel. Day 1: We departed from the hotel at 6:30 am in a GaviotaTour bus with a/c, and picked up other people in different hotels in the city. Then we stopped about two hours later to buy some snacks in Fiesta... More
