This place is incredibly popular with tourists because it was Ernest Hemingway's preferred Mojito spot. I have had many mojitos in Habana (and in NYC) and this was probably the worst I have had. It's a super cramped location but it's pretty charming and a landmark so maybe have 1 mojito, take some photos, listen to some music and then... More

It's about the size of a large walk-in closet, but this was our first stop in Havana and I was not disappointed. It was packed (with tourists and tourist groups mostly), but there were framed quotes from Cuban friends on the wall and it was fascinating to watch the bartender pouring dozens of mojitos at a time. It was our... More

One of the bar restaurants more famous of La Habana, we have the chance to have a wonderful Cuban dinner there, the food was top and the price very reasonsble, the mojitos are good, but not the best, so much people in the entrance of the bar expects to drink 🍹 one that you can see how the do 100's in... The Bodeguita is particularly known as a favourite hangout of Ernest Hemingway (like la Floridita). In fact you still find him there working on a book :-) ... it is a very busy but still pleasant cafe these days. On the street fancy dressed cubans who will pose with you for a Euro, Dollar or CUC.

Its a must stop for a refreshing mojito. Nice and refreshing and if you get to meet a local and have a conversation at the bar it makes it all worth while.

The place you go only on your first Havana day - crowded, and expensive mojito (5cuc) but not the best one.

It's ok, it's just the fame because this is looking more like a tourist trap. Mojitos are 5 cuc so they are expensive compared to other good places. The bar has nothing special in itself so take one mojito and go to another bar.

We had a few pre-dinner mojitos sitting at the bar of the Bodeguita and wildly enjoyed it. Despite being a huge tourist attraction, the old bar has somehow retained a certain charm and still speaks of idealized bygone times: the taciturnly skilled barmen, the old photos and quotes on the wall, the perfectly mixed mojitos... And an exceptionally good salsa... More

Yes, its small, its crowded and noisy....but worth a stop....you're probably going to be walking by anyway. Go for the experience, the music was good and so was the mojito. A must stop for Hemingway fans.

It's not that the food or drink are extraordinary; it's the unique atmosphere. This was Hemingway's second-favorite bar. It tends to be very crowded, so go early if you can. Maybe you just want a mojito in the bar, but be sure to check out the restaurant area behind the bar --the Mediterranean-blue walls are covered with the signatures of... More
