I walked by the Plaza de Armas. as I did, uniformed officials were existing this big gate. The canons facing the Marlecon speak to me of security, war and planning. There is a park near here, the Museum of Natural History and a library is...More

Great spot to visit. You can sit in the park and listen to live music from the restaurants. Also not far from souvenir shops and the fort. The architecture is beautiful, it is reminiscent of Venice or Rome.

The Plaza de Armas played a very important role in Cuba and it is a great place to go and learn a little more. Plus it is centrally located, so you can get many other places easily on foot.

This was my favorite plaza in the entire city! Take a stroll, have lunch at La Mina while listening to live music, and then purchase a piece of history at the old book market around the corner off of Calle Obispo.

Superb historic setting, you can imagine all colonial history in this very well preserved scenery. Also nice restaurants there.
