I was told the Cathedral is open all day, every day, but there were several times we passed by and it was closed. We did manage to go in on a Monday morning. The inside of the Cathedral is very similar to the Catholic churches...More

As you walk the different plazas in Havana, take the time to step in too this beautiful cathedral. Look at the religious artwork, always open to the public.

An artifact from centuries back, when the Spanish Catholic church was a very big part of the lives of the people. Do take the chance to have a look, although opening hours may be limited.

Choir sounds beautiful! Good sermon. In summer, you will praise God for the big electric fans they have inside. See the statue of Pope JPII. I think you can only enter when they have services.

Go, see, live the Spanish influence in Havana....feel the respect Cuba has for all its history, culture and people...its real. No makeup, pretext, context, just a church in Cuba.

Nice to see a beautiful well cared for building in a city falling apart at the seems. With religion discouraged, those who were Christians certainly made their mark.
