Definitely visit Casa de La Trova while in Santiago. Charming old city that produces beautiful music and friendly people. Helps to know the language, for sure!

You can't say you visited Santiago de Cuba if you heaven't been in casa de la trova or at least any other club with LIVE music. The city lives in the night and it gives you this beautiful energy of dancing, singing and enjoying life....More

This is the place to be for Trova music and dance. We decided not to join the shore excursion from the cruise ship but instead venture out on our own. It is an easy 15 min walk from the Port. The bar is right next...More

This Trova is so much fun! We were part of a tour group from a small ship and didn't know what to expect. It was the best evening. There were many locals as well as those of us who were tourists. The dancing was wonderful...More

Although I didn’t see one of the main shows I did hang out in the afternoon and it was great just to be around musicians chilling out and tuning up. It was a shame I couldn’t see a performance there but I had the Festival...More

I usually shy away from places full of tourists like myself while on holiday. There are not a whole lot of choices in Santiago to go for a beer and music from what I could see. I popped in here to see what was going...More

Casa de la Trova is the heart of Santiago's music... the soul of Cuban music. I came in by chance, I stayed for 3 days. Best music ambience! Amazing musicians, better people. Don't miss it!

This is the real Cuba, with local people enjoying themselves with music and dancing. We were there during the Festival de la Trova when the street was closed off, first with recorded music playing and then live bands coming on stage just before 8pm. Local...More

This legendary stage offers the most authentic quality taste of traditional Cuban music. It is a place mostly attended by locals and it’s always fun and amazing.

Visited this place late in the afternoon. It seems that there are different halls of differing sizes. We were in a small one which only holds about 20 to 30 people. We were the only tourists present the rest all being locals. It was free...More
