Year three booking with Manuel at Atlantis Diving Varadero Cuba. We spent Sunday at the bay of Pigs where we did a deep dive, followed by a reef/wreck dive at El Tanque. Monday was 2 dives at Playa Coral as the seas were rough. Loved the swim through, and caves, what a great piece of coral. Tuesday was the Russian Patrol Boat, followed by another reef. Overall a great experience, great staff, and the service is wonderful!!! I highly recommend this dive resort

Nothing special, nothing great. Only do the bay of pigs trip if you love diving. I was placed in the "advanced" group.... The first dive lasted 39 minutes and the second 46 with about fifteen minutes of each spend in 3 meters of water. For an all day trip, this was disappointing. Instead of adjusting the second dive to last longer we went down to 30 meters again and the same guy ran low on air. It's clear they are there to make money and aren't worried about you enjoying your time.

Hi Jacob, thanks you so much to take a moment to review our TripAdvisor attraction. You are totally right, the Bay of Pigs it's a really long tour, and as every shore dive, it required to swimm on shallow water to reach the drop off where the good stuff are, that's why we suggested you when you book your dive tour, to stay diving by boat from our base in Varadero instead, and here below it's a piece from that email. Quote: The Bay of Pigs tour takes the whole day out, driving two hours to the south of Cuba, into the Caribbean Sea, doing two dives from the shore on a beautiful Coral Wall. Getting back to Varadero around 8:00 pm. If you don't want to be out the whole day out, we can also dive locally in Varadero by boat, taking just half day, doing two reef dives from our Atlantis Varadero base located at the beach of Blau Varadero hotel. The first dive around 18 to 22 meters deep and the second dive at 12 meters deep. Finishing around 1:30 pm. ..... But you however, decided to go to the Bay of Pigs instead. We totally understand why, there is a lot of buzz on the internet about the Bay of Pigs, because due to weather conditions in winter not been the best, divers are forced to move there in order to dive and for that reason you find more information about it on the internet, but really as you mentioned, it's nothing special, you can do way better boat dives in Varadero instead. We try to set groups according to the divers experience, and as you mentioned already, we put you in an advanced divers group, for that we used the diving certification and logbooks of the divers on the group, but we can't know if some specific diver will breath faster than other ones having the same qualifications and experience, that's why it was 39 minutes on the first dive. Dives are usually around 45 minutes long, and that's what you did on the second dive, the one was not to 30 meters deep as you mentioned, if you recall well, we went to see the Shipwreck by the edge of the wall in the second dive, and the wreck is lay down in 15 meters deep. if both dives were at the same depht, how the same diver that run to the tank reserve 39 minutes into the first dive at 30 meters deep, will last then 46 minutes on the second dive also at 30 meters deep as the first dive. Does not make any sense. At the end we are sad and sorry to hear you didn't enjoyed your dives on your holiday, we work hard to ensure all our divers have tons of fun on a safe a pleasant environmental, we really hope you get another chance to dive in Cuba and this time give us a call so we can set you some dives by boat in Varadero instead, it would be our treat. You will love it for sure. Happy diving. Manuel.

Great location right on the beach. Professional and friendly dive masters. Dive boat was a bit late, but hey it's the Caribbean. Everything is slower here. The dive site was good also. Very good viz and lots to see.

Bought the 6 dive package - excellent value for money!! Good high quality gear & superb instructors! Manuel and Elian couldn't do enough for you. I left the cable to charge my GoPro at home in the UK by accident & Manuel dropped a cable off from his home on his day off! Top man! As a PADI Dive Master with 130+ dives under my belt I'd highly recommend!

I took dive-package of 3 days. First day with Manual and Elian was good. Second day they didn't inform the bus to pick me up to marina, dives were nice. 3rd day no bus, no dives... pitty. Lack of attention of his (paid) clients and lack of communication.

Hi Ted, thanks you first to join us on our diving activities and for leaving a review on our trip advisor attraction. On the first two days you were pick up well and on time. Today on your third day, as mentioned on the first email we send you once we realized you were not aboard, I personally set your booking and double check this morning your name was on the pick up list, our instructor was at your Hotel lobby on time and pick up other 5 divers and didn't find you there. We have been trying to reach you since with several email to not only apologies for whatever may happened but also to offer reschedule your dives on our tomorrow dive trip or even in case you don't want to dive anymore with us, give you a refund for the dives you didn't do. However no reply have arrive, and we don't know anything from you still, even when we now know you have been online writing this unfair review about our services and not replying our emails (that's what we call lack of communication). Please be kind and send us an email so we can arrange a meeting to give you your refound. All best, Manuel.
