    Sheltered beach; touristy feels
Fairly crowded beach overall with lots of hype. Food on beach is pretty good but $$. Nice protected bay for swimming included in many hotel stays. Some sea life to see snorkelling but not great.

    First visit Cruise stop
First time in Curacao. Shared a cab from the cruise port. $15 per couple each way. Beach chair was $5. The beach was well protected and water was calm, clean and sandy. There is a shopping area you need to walk through from the taxi drop off. Variety of restaurants and shops to escape the heat.

    A crowded tropical beach
I can imagine that this tropical beach was picture-perfect thirty years ago. Today, the resorts, restaurants, and shops have transformed it into a beehive. One can't escape the thousands of beach chairs. To be fair, party animals and cocktail enthusiasts can (and do) have a great time here.

When in port, this is not the beach you want to visit.
It was too crowded to the point where you don’t see the beach. Your view is a lot of chairs and people. The area for swimming is a small Bay Area. We didn’t pay an entrance fee or chair fee. The people beside us said someone would be coming around asking for money but no one ever came. We were off a cruise ship and picked this beach because of reviews and this is the beach the cruise ship uses for excursions. I would recommend finding another beach if that’s possible. We were told it would be $70 to go to a different location because of distance. Mambo beach taxi ride was $7 per person one way.

    Excellent beach!
Great beach, we got there about 0830 off the cruise ship and found a great spot at Madera Beach Club. Paid $56 for a cabana and three nice chairs right on the beach. Lots of food options and shops. Kids had a blast and we enjoyed it. Got more crowded in the afternoon but nothing worse than any other beach. Two cruise ships in port that day and bartender said it was much busier than normal. Would definitely come back!

Great beach for amenities but ...
The general description for this beach is accurate. Want amenities by the beach and this place has them. The one thing to keep in mind is this beach is very popular. I came from a cruise ship and got there around 11am on a Thursday and there were no chairs, umbrellas or tables available for quite a while. So if you are going to this beach you need to get there early or if you're coming from a cruise ship book an excursion that reserves you these things. There are no places to lay down a towel. Also because it is a sheltered area there isn't much snorkeling. Great for children as there's no surf either.

    Just about perfect!
We were told it would be busy at the beach and they were right. That said, it was wonderful. The wait staff were very friendly and accommodating. The sand on the beach and the temperature and clarity of the water were perfect. We could not have enjoyed it more. Easy access to food, drink, bathroom and changing facilities and a pool. Look forward to a return visit.

    Beware entering and exiting!
The beach was clean and beautiful with lots of chairs and umbrellas to rent for around 25.00 (you can barter with them on the price). Locals were selling food they were cooking on their grills. The only drawback is that it is difficult to enter and exit the ocean. There is a bit of a reef you must navigate to enter. We are over 70 and in good shaped physically, but several people had to come to our aid when we wanted to get out.

    Simply Outstanding
One of the stops on our recent cruise was Curacao. The beach recommended was Mambo Beach and I will concur that this is the beach to go to. It's a short taxi ride from the cruise terminal and back ($8 USD per person). Once inside make you way into the shops area and find a stop on the beach under the trees, under a grass hut and grab a lounge chair. There is a fee of $3.50 per person to enter Mambo Beach and $7 per person for each lounge chair. WELL WORTH IT! The place is uber-clean. There are many restaurants, cafes, snack bars, along with many souvenir shops. Also, when buying a round, there was no last second up-charge. The price is the price. Will recommend Mambo Beach to anyone I know going to Curacao and will make this a definite stop if ever back here.

Bonita Beach Club for the win!
Bonita beach club was great. Though the prices were reasonable. We rented a cabana for the day it was $25 with two bottles of water. Area comes with servers that walk around the beach food was drinks were $9-$13 each for cocktails and beers were around $5. Would highly recommend you come early.

Mambo Beach is a calm, clear lagoon in front of a clean shopping complex. There are many restaurants, and shops and ample lounge chairs for rent at the beach. Taxi ride was $14 each way ($7 per person), about a 15 minute ride from the Cruise Pier. Entrance fee was $3.50 per person as were the economy chairs. We walked the entire lagoon which had beautiful views, friendly iguanas, and we even got to see the Sea Lion Show from a bridge near the aquarium. We would definitely go back.

This beach is great for the younger crowd. It is a pay to enter beach that is almost full of sun loungers. There is no room to throw a towel on the beach. If you go there, I hope you enjoy loud music with plenty of base, Behind the beach are restaurants and small shops. There is also a small stage on the beach that provides live entertainment in the evenings. In front of all of this is a very large car park that provides access to taxis and buses.

Mambo Beach is a bit of a tourist spot for sure. We visited in March 2020, and didn’t have to pay for entry or lounge chairs. We’ve been twice and it’s always been free. Happy Hour at the bar on the beach is Friday and Sunday and beer is quite cheap. Hey here’s nothing better than having a cold Polar on the beach under a shady palm tree! The snorkeling is ok. The swimming is nice, as this is a man made beach with a decent amount of sand. There’s a breakwater that prevents it from being too choppy while swimming. We climbed on the rocks and saw many crabs. The shopping is silly but the restaurants and snacks are good.

I visited Mambo Beach after enjoying the /sea Aquarium which is located next to it. As you enter from the car park, there are lots of stores and restaurants where you can shop and eat before going downstairs to the beach. The sand is white and soft and the area is a very relaxing place to take a swim or just lounge. There is a stage at one end which was being prepared and I assume a concert or some type of performance was about to take place. It was very different to the other beaches on the island which did not have shopping areas. Some of them had vendors selling local souvenirs.

We came here as part of a tour but we were not told there is an entry fee of $3.50 to the beach. We did not stay for long so did not hire lounger and umbrella we just bought drinks at a bar and kept our stuff at their chairs on the beach front with no issues. Really good for snorkelling, swim further out towards the far rocks. There is a steep drop from the beach where the water becomes suddenly deep without you realising unless you look down with snorkel, I would recommend not letting children in unsupervised.

If you do not go to a beach in Curacao, then you have missed the experience of the island. Unfortunately, between the beach fee and chair rental, it costs about $10 USD/day/person.

Generally, the beach is filled with small groups of young, Dutch people, with a few families, and fewer retirees. There are lots of food and drink bars and restaurants.

Save money by taking a local bus to/from the beach - $2 USD/trip/person instead of $30 USD per ride from downtown (under 10 minutes drive).

This is a busy beach but it's large and can accommodate the visitors. We showed up at noon and had no issue finding a chair. Lots of shops and restaurants and free entry. The beach is sandy and protected by a breakwater so it's very calm. It gets deep quite quick. We didn't shop but ate at one restaurant.

A tip, when considering the price of chair rental, the maderno beach bar charges $20 for a chair by the pool with access to the pool of course. It comes with water and watermelon. It's a relatively modest price for a luxurious experience.

Visited as part of an excursion from Royal Caribbean. Beach is beautiful soft sand. Breakwater makes for relaxed swimming and decent snorkeling opportunities (seas outside breakwater were 4-6’/1.5-2 meters). Beach chair rentals — required — were $4/chair. Relatively cheap compared to other beaches. Multiple bars/shops/restaurants to get drinks or food, but we found the lunch prices to be rather high, so passed. If you have small kids or just want a relaxing swim, Mambo Beach is perfect. Definitely recommend.

Took a minibus here from our apartment near the Queen Emma bridge. Beautiful sandy beach. Once you arrive and stake out your (kinda worn out saggy beach chair ) someone will approach you and tell you there is a charge to enter and charge for the chair ( about 5 plus 5 guilders per person ). Clear clean calm water in the lagoon area with a decent reef for snorkeling. Loud competing music from every bar. We preferred getting a day pass at the quieter closer beach at the Avila hotel.

We took a taxi to Mambo beach from cruise port. It was $6/person. It was $3.50 to enter beach and a few dollars to rent beach chairs.

The water was calm with no waves which is excellent for little children. We brought some bread to feed the fishes. My son loved seeing the little fishes feeding on his bread crumbs.

We stayed near the wet n wild bar. We bought some frozen drinks there and used their wifi.

I highly recommend this beach and would go back there again.
