A very interesting experience about the life (and death) of ostriches , hosted by a very knowledgeable tour guide in an open air jeep. Be forewarned visitors should expect to hear about the processing of ostrich eggs and ostrich meat and how the business operates rather than cure baby ostriches. Still a fascinating tour and highly recommend

April 21, 2023. Had a great ostrich meat burger lunch, could have fed two persons. We then did the one hour tour with Ruth who was very informative and funny. Well worth a visit and not expensive.

We visit the farm with my 3 kids (7, 4 & 3 years old ) we took the safari tour, Ruth was our guide and she taught us some interesting facts about ostriches, we were able to feed the ostriches which was super excited for the kids. The prices at the restaurant are very friendly, The ostrich croquettes are one of the very delicious dishes they offer. There is also a playground and a lookout with a view to the st Joris bay.

My family went to the Ostrich farm in Curacao and ended up staying for lunch. We enjoyed the tour and were amazed at the facts about ostriches, emus, and Nile crocodiles! Did you know Ostriches can live to be over 80 years old? We did not! The gift shop was clean and had a variety of souvenirs at good prices. The staff was pleasant and accommodating. Thank you for a swell experience!

The choices of mains was limited but unique. They have ostrich burgers and goat burgers along with beef burgers and other selections.
The service and food were fine. We both had the goat burger.
We arrived at noon just for lunch only. We had done the tour a few years before which was interesting.
There was nothing really we would recommend about the trip out just for lunch.
Maybe, if going for the first time and doing the tour it would be more enjoyable. We just found it disappointing.
As a side note, if going there from a cruise ship you might not want to just take a random taxi. A couple we gave a lift to were stranded there because their ‘promised’ return taxi did not return and they couldn’t get one to come all the way out to fetch them.

Terrible tour. Starts with the tour bus, dilapidated, poor seating(sat on a wooden chair not secured to the floor), and a bus with difficulty in starting several times. Where is the safety check done by Holland America on this tour.
Ostriches? Saw a few but not as advertised. Tour guild is terrible. Not worth the $59.95 per adult!!! Don’t waste your money. Would not recommend this tour.

We arrived at the farm on our own and paid $20 USD/per person for the guided tour of the farm which was a lot of fun. The tours are every hour on the hour so while waiting for the tour to start we walked around the farm and saw other animals and then sat and waited at the restaurant. It was a great experience to hear the guide speak Dutch / English to accommodate both guests.

Great little trip. We showed up on a Wednesday morning when they were opening without reservations. The 9am adventure was already booked up from a large group, so we ate a quick breakfast at their onsite restaurant. This also gave us time to walk around and see the many flamingos and other animals. When the next tour bagan it was only three of us so we had a nice private tour. It was very interesting and full of opportunities to take pictures close up including feeding them. Highly recommend going here

If you pay for the tour AND lunch do you get to choose from anything on the menu? Or is it preselected lunch?

I got the tour/lunch package. You can choose from the lunch entrées except for the steak which will cost you (I believe it was) 10 USD more.

Is there a bus or public transport that will take you to/near the Ostrich Farm? We will not have a car.

I’m unsure as we rented a car. I’d ask your hotel if they have a shuttle.

I visited the ostrich farm this past March 2017 and paid $69.00. The package I purchased included hotel pick up and drop off as well as a 3 course dinner at the farm. A brief tour of the curaloe aloe vera plantation was included as well.

Hi,
Curacao ostrich farm is fun and interesting . You get to learn all about the ostriches, as well as the other animals we have on the farm (Pigs, goats, sheep, crocodiles etc.). You will even get to feed the ostriches and if you're brave enough
you can even ride one! They also have a restaurant that serves ostrich meat...
Just try not to think about it.

Hi, we're also considering this tour via Carnival Cruise Lines. I know the total tour is appx 3 hrs. Do you remember how long you were in the bus to get to the farm? How long do you spend at the actual farm, And how long you're in the bus total? Sorry for all the questions. I have a daughter who has 'stomach' issues and the more she worries about how long she'll be in the bus, the more it will hurt. Thanks in advance.

The bus Will take approximately half an hour to 40 mins by bus. By car you can get there in about 25 mins via Googlemaps, starting from the cruise terminal. These times are if you drive yourself. I never did the bustrip. The Tour at the farm is not so long, about half an hour.
