    Snorkel Paradise
This is such a great snorkel spot!!! We did not do the other top rated snorkel spots (Klein Curacao or Tugboat), but this was by far my favorite spot for snorkeling. The water (at least on the day of our visit) was super calm. I usually get seasick after 30 minutes, but I was perfectly fine snorkeling here. We saw two sea turtles. The reef is healthy and runs along both sides of the cliff. We even ventured out into the main channel where the water was still surprisingly calm (still tons to see under the water). Playa Lagun is a public beach, which means a little more trash. If you're not into snorkeling, and you just want the beach scene, I would recommend Cas Abao (a private beach). Beach chair rentals were available, but not umbrellas. There is a restaurant, but we did not eat there.

    Great chill beach day
Great spot for a beach day. Very chill and relaxed vibe. Cute beach cove not a ton of Instagrammers like other beaches around. If you want shade get there earlier like around 10 am. Grab a chair as they are comfy and the ground is pretty rocky and full of fruit from the trees. I didn’t snorkel or scuba but over heard it’s the best place to do so. Suggest you bring drinks and sandwiches. There is a restaurant on the hill I didn’t try but beach food is usually basic so decided to do our own thing. Scuba people said it was $6 for snorkel to rent if needed.

    The most beautiful beach.
Great little beach. Beautiful and calm. Get there early to see the fishermen bring in their catch. Great place to swim and snorkel. The main issue is a lack of shade so you need to be here early. The bar at the top has great views and a good menu but very slow service. If you are in no hurry, and here you should not be, it's the perfect place for lunch.

Rented a car at the MegaCruise Port Avis. Drove to several beaches north of downtown. One was Playa Lagun. The snorkeling here was awesome. Saw numerous fish. The setting is great. We got there about 9am and it wasnt busy. paid $2 US for a lounge chair rental. Later ate at the Bahia Bar and Grill onsite. It was decent, staff was great, view was cool, small iguanas walking around up there. We would abaolutely return to this beach. A dive shop in aite as well.

This is a small beach with a thin layer of sand, filled with many pieces of coral, broken glass, bottle tops. The center of the beach, where it would be ideal to lay, is a slab of concrete next to a dead tree. The beach is lined by run down buildings, it’s hard to tell what they are/were used for but they are not scenic. Fresh fish right off the boat is filleted and sold beachside which is unique.

We had lunch at the restaurant on the cliff which was very scenic. Most of the food was no better than fine (avoid the smoked salmon sandwich). The ‘smoothies’ are ice, sugar and food coloring from an Island Oasis machine. Not good at all if a smoothie to you means a healthy, blended drink with fresh fruit. $US10 for those.

The snorkeling along the cliffs was quite good. Go for this, nothing else. If you are accustomed to beautiful Caribbean beaches, you will be disappointed.

Lagun Beach is a small laid back and mostly quiet place for tourists as well as locals. The beach is kept clean, and sunbeds and chairs can be rented at reasonable prices. The sea here is slightly warmer than beaches situated around Willemstad.
The beach is public, offering free parking with an attendant.
Snorkeling is reasonable, water clarity varies at different times of the year.

I visit this beach with my wife. We take chairs, and a picnic in a cool box.

The rest is privately owned.
There are PADI courses (Three day open water) for an affordable price incl. theory and all equipment.

We have visited the restaurant on the cliff overlooking the bay. It serves average Western dishes, cocktails etc for average prices. The service (Can) be a little slow. The view is amazing from the restaurant! Often large iguanas roam the restaurant and beach. Although not tame, pretty used to tourists giving them food. Be careful though if you feed them by hand, they have sharp little teeth!

A majority of the tourists are Dutch/American, but many other nationalities.
People are (Mostly) friendly here.
Also fresh fish can be bought from the local fishermen, cash only.
Red Snapper, barracuda, yellow-jack, bar-jack, dolphin-fish are common.
Large red snapper 25 guilders per kilo, the rest at 18, per kilo.

Sometimes a small turtle can be seen close to the shore.
Jet-skis can be seen crossing the bay, but officially not allowed in the bay because of people swimming.

There have been a couple of sightings of hammerheads, but this species is not a threat to people. (You Tube video can be easily found.) Portuguese man of war sightings occasionally, but then official govt warnings are broadcast. They float on the surface and can be clearly seen. Rule of thumb, swimming if the sea is rough is okay, but then never swim close to rocks! Not much shade so be aware of the sun and have fun!

Small but nice cove. We went snorkeling and saw an octopus! You can rent chairs here, and I think they had some snacks as well.

Small but amazing beach! The snorkeling there was incredible! Highly recommend to bring your own gear. Not a lot of chairs available, but we did not mind.

Nice little beach which is located in a small
Bay with fishing boats overlooked by a restaurant and a hotel. Good for snorkelling and swimming.

we visited in 2018 and wanted to return this time around. no cost to enter, beach parking had security person (no charge) but beach has no washrooms, showers, change rooms. 2 restaurants (one above looking down on the beach, one directly across the street) both seemed to be doing well. lounge chairs available at a cost. quite busy the day we were there, i think that churned up the sand so that clarity of water for snorkling was compromised....perhaps better if you went beyond the coral cliffs to open water. shoreline and entry had coral stones. feel free to bring your own food/drink/chairs. we enjoyed our afternoon but would rather continue to explore other Curacao beaches.
