Best bit of Willemstad

After crossing the Queen Emma Bridge, we just ambled around the Punda district. The architecture is colourful and interesting as was the floating market. Loads of fruit and veg.

A unique shopping area is the floatung market - though it is extensive in that there are may stalls / boats regretably they all or most seems to sell essentially the same items. A good place to wander on by but difficult to purchase items meaningfully if you're on a cruise !!

A nice stop on any trip. Good mix of local stores, brand names and souvenir shops. Family friendly. will get crowded with cruise ships but worth the initial crowds. Plenty of space for people to spread out. Swinging bridge is a must see. Very handicap accessible

The brightly coloured Dutch style buildings along the waterfront of Punda are so absolutely striking that we were immediately drawn into the town. It was like walking down a European street but with better weather! We spent the best part of a day wondering around Punda and will return for sure during the week. Saturdays are a bustle of markets,... More

If you're travelling to Curacao, Punda is a must visit! The pastel buildings, cobblestone walkways, many shops high end to typical touristy stores for souveniers, floating market where boats travel from Venezuela with fish, fruits and handcrafts. Very unique.
