We went on a Friday just after lunch from the Sunscape Resort and it was about 10 min. away. No cruise ships were in port so we had the place all to our selves and self toured. It was interesting history on the background of...More

Interesting history of the family and the process. They were bottling the day we visited. The aroma was unique and pleasant. We paused at the end for a tasting and then ordered a couple cocktails which were excellent.

It was an okay tour. We had a rental car so there was no cost for us to get there. No fee to walk the tour either. Not really a lot to see, there was no production while we were there. But they do have...More

As part of our tour, we stopped and watched and learned about Curacao Liqueur distillation. We were part of a medium sized factory tour so we had time to ask questions, learn and watch the spirits being made. The tour also gave us the history...More

This was just one of several stops on our small group tour. We had taken a taxi with six others so our group was not too large. The museum is small scale walk through style museum. You can walk the length of the museum in...More

We went on our own during the week. The visit only takes a few minutes and its nice to read about this history of the liquor. I found strange that there was only a few ladies in the manufacture section. I found the reason when...More

Couldn't really go to Curacao without visiting the place where the award winning Blue Curacao was 'invented'. There is a short history of the making of the liqueur, and a chance to see some of the production process before you then queue up for a...More

I guess you can't really go to curacao without seeing the home of curacao liquor. It was neat to see, but nothing overly special. They did have a tasting area where you could taste for free and a pay bar where you can order drinks...More

This distillery is small and something I would not make a special trip to see. However, it was included on our tour of the island and turned out to be ok. We did a quick tour to see how the liqueur is made followed by...More

If I recall correctly, the full size bottles were about $20 each. There were also gift packs of smaller bottles of all flavors for $25.

We would like to take the Standard guided tour as one cocktail is plenty for us. Could we still buy the gelato to try or would it be less expensive to just do the Deluxe guided tour and have the gelato included? Also, if we are not on a "tour group", how can we get to your factory and back to the cruise port area (I thought I saw that taxis are 20 US dollars each way!) Thanks for your advice. Hope to see you in 2 weeks!

There are possibilities to take the bus to Chobolobo. A short walk from the cruise terminal, you will find the bus station. Ask there for the right bus to take you to the distillery. The gelatos are definitely sold... More

How far is it from the cruise ship port? Is it walking distance, or do we need an excursion? If the excursion is suggestion, what else do we link it to for the price?

A cheap way to get to the Distillery is to join an excursion at the Curacao Tourism kiosk (you will see it as soon as you cross the Pontoon bridge). They have reps who offer to take you on an open-air tour bus with a guide... More
