Good hang out spot at night

The beach is nice but I specifically like the Zanzibar and the ambience at night. It is a good hang out spot and the surroundings are also child friendly as many kids were playing... read more

I was impressed by the way the beach is, since it was a beautiful shape among corals. But, the beach itself is full of little corals which hust your feet. It is expensive, because it is almost 10 dollars per person in order to enter and get a chair. It is not a full beach but sometimes it gets crowded.... More

Nice beach with beautiful clear water. The beach was very crowded but we found a nice chairs in the shade. You have to pay to get in and park $3.50 per person and about the same for the chair. The water was beautiful but the corral close to the shore was dead. Farther out there was some corral. Lot of... More

Jan Thiel is the place to be. The Zeist, Tinto and Zanzibar ar great places to eat and hang out. The food is excellent at all 3 places and the location is very much the best place to be entertained. The beaches and the water are very clean and great for snorkling, diving and just swimming. At night its very... More

The two beach sandy areas are super small but we knew this when we came. We were really excited to try the snorkelling and have a nice lunch at one of their restaurants. The snorkelling was okay, not great, I wouldn't recommend it due to 1) mother nature waves (we have no control over that), the best reef area is... More

This is a great beach and so it is busy. However, it does not feel crowded. There is a fee to enter and another fee for chair rentals. There is plenty of shade. There is a restaurant and the very accommodating waitstaff will take orders and deliver your food and drinks-soft drinks, smoothies, beer, and mixed drinks. They will let... More

The beach is nice but I specifically like the Zanzibar and the ambience at night. It is a good hang out spot and the surroundings are also child friendly as many kids were playing in the sand while the parents were having a drink.

If you are in the mood to be around people and to walk from your chair to a boardwalk of high end shops and restaurants I highly recommend this beach - we loved it!

Excellent accommodations and a beautiful beach, bad food though (Zest beach bar). It gets crowded, so try to arrive early.

We didnt know what to expect when we went decided to get to Jan Thiel. We took a bus from our Resort which was pretty easy once they explained how it worked. Jan Thiel was totally high end European beach. It had beautiful cafes right on the beach. They had bars and food. We had lunch and had a tostas... More

The club Zanzibar is really worth the visit; the beach is allright; Nothing special. There are some large resorts which occupy part of Jan Thiel Beach.
