We arrived bu boat and swam from the boat usind snorkels. Bubles rising from the ground were everywhere, some quite large. Our leader took a snorkel down to to the base of one and collected water, which was surprisingly hot. So yes an interesting and different place to discover.

Went here on a scuba diving excursion. Reef not in good, vibrant condition. When we got to the volcanic portion - champagne beach, the reef was brown. It was kinda cool hearing the bubbles activity as we approached and feeling the water temperature rise. This activity is in shallow water so it is also popular with snorkeling. On this day... More

We went here relatively early in the morning, to avoid the crowds who may arrive when there is a big cruise ship on the docks in Roseau for the day. It's in all the tourist guides. Yes, the are a few bubbly spots in the sea (hence the name), which you reach by swimming-over a few minutes from the beach.... More

This little gem is not easy to find 30 mn south of Hilo. Actual bubbles coming up from below hot areas and spectacular snorkelling go week days less people Unique spot Out of the world Will come back for sure

Unless you are staying to watch the sea turtles hatch (which is worth every donated dollar), not really worth it. There is a tiny area where bubbles continuously raise from the ocean floor, but that's it. You snorkel for 10 min and are done. Long story short, if you go, go for the turtles, but visit the reef.

Really does look like snorkeling through champagne bubbles! Beautiful! Equipment rental at beach was excellent. Rocky path to get to water.

Very good snorkelling from the beach with the added attraction of the volcanic gas bubbling up through the water. You can stay near shore or swim a short distance (maybe 100 metres?) out to another reef. Cafe and toilets at one end of beach. Very limited parking. Absolutely avoid this place when cruise ship is in Roseau.

Our dive group was taken to the Champagne Reef several times as not only do you have the adventure of seeing bubbles coming up from the seafloor caused by geothermal activity but you also have a variety of sea life. On good sunny days this can be observed by snorkeling as the reef is very shallow. There are very few... More

Beautiful I was amazed at how warm it was. A little difficult to find, was unsure where to park the car, so we used the parking lot at the Catholic church....will definitely go back there
