Definitely worth the 45-60 minute hike through the rainforest to reach this remote freshwater lake! We did swim, although the water was pretty cool- more like Lake Michigan in June! Worth the experience to be in such a fantastic setting nestled up on the side of a once active volcano in the rainforest! We were the only ones there!

1) very few people do this hike 2) it is easy and incredibly beautiful as you can see in my images 3) the sounds are just as amazing as the sights ... i am writing this review after 2 years since visiting... and i still recall it. This is an experience that should not be missed, especially given the low... More

This is a 2-3 hour hike, and is a great combination to snorkeling at Champagne Beach in the morning. This hike follows a series of ridges and gives you great views of both the Atlantic Ocean and Caribbean Sea. The hike is best on a clear day due to the views. On a cloudy/rainy day, I would do the Middleman... More

First, let me clarify. This activity is not about looking at the lake. It's about the amazing hike to the lake. Yes, the lake is beautiful, but this trip is about the journey much more than it is about the destination. That said, our hike here as part of a day trip with Sea Cat Tours was one of my... More

The mountain has its own micro climate so it generally is raining The views are impressive if not over cast The path is full of beautiful rainfall plants and trees. Unfortunately the path itself soon becomes very rocky and tricky the rocks are slippery and you have to wear stout shoes and be very careful. Not really an enjoyable hike.

The host at our cottage recommended this hike. It is one of few that is high up in the Cloud Forest in Morne Trois Pitons Park. There were no clouds in the Roseau valley, but by the time we got to the trail we were at an altitude where the clouds formed, and blew over the top of the peaks,... More

Our initial plan had been to visit the lower down freshwater lake, but when we got there we realised that we could drive right up to it and that the walk really only took you round the edge of the lake which having all trainered up and thinking we were in for a decent walk didn’t really appeal. So, we... More

I didn't do the hike, but my friend's father took us up here for a day trip to escape the muggy heat down in the Roseau Valley. It is on the windward side of the island, and the day we went was in the upper 60s and overcast with dense fog, in other words - heaven - compared to where... More

Largest freshwater lake on the island, and only a 45 minute hike to get there. Be careful though, the hike can be VERY slippery!

The trail to the Boeri Lake is well marked and maintained, not too long ( we took about 40 minutes each way) or difficult and takes you through some lovely vegetation. if you are familiar with the Boiling Lake hike, the trail is similar to the route up Morne Nichol, but not as step or as long. Much of the... More
