The Falls are fantastic and I am happy to have done the hike, but this is not a trail for wimps. It was slick and muddy with plenty of leaves, mossy rocks and tree roots to trip you up. Some parts are steep and you really have to scramble over boulders in places just to reach the viewing platform. It... More

It was totally worth it getting wet, moderate hiking, around 50 min to 1 hr with raining weather, some areas you get wet walking thru river areas and at the end the view, sound, and everything of the Middleham waterfall make it worth it. You should go prepared with water, good shoes to get wet, protect your electronics, forrest weather... More

Love these falls and the hike to the falls... I am aware that is no walking in Dominica and Middleham Falls is a mild hike. But well worth it!! The falls are so huge and you are at the bottom of a huge mountain. Absolutely phenomenal.

Very wet yet wonderful hike through the most magnificent rain forest I have ever seen. The waterfalls are amazing and very impressive but the hike is well worth the effort too. Depending on the season it can be wet and therefore slippery and dirty.

We visited in June, low season, so there was no one there. We saw one other tourist and the ranger who collected our $US5 entry fee. We went by bus and were dropped off at the corner of the road that leads to the Falls track. It's a 1 klm walk from there to wherr the track starts. The walk... More

excellent hike in the rain Forrest, a guide is not necessary if you have a car or get someone to drop you off. tip: start your hike early in the morning before 9 am, you get to hear the birds and the sound of the Forrest, the place gets crowded after 10 am,

The hike to Middleham Falls was our favorite excursion during our visit to Dominica. It is a beautiful two-hour round trip walk to what I believe is the prettiest waterfall in Dominica. You can swim at the falls if you want. Even without the falls the hike would have been well worth the effort. You get to walk through one... More

I highly recommend this hike. It is a moderately challenging hike mostly due to the steps. It goes through primary rain forest and crosses over small streams. Middleham Falls is the tallest falls in Dominica.

We have done this hike, with the Bushman, and it was brilliant. Muddy slippery and trip hazardy but so exhilarating. Peter knows so much about the plants and wildlife that you would miss without a good guide. His jokes made everyone laugh too. We were on an organised trip and at the end of the hike Peter gave everyone some... More
