We did soap tour and it lasted exactly 10 minutes and we didnt make soap but instead gave pre-made soap some color and aroma. Our tour guide couldnt wait for us to finish. No story, no introduction. Fastest spent 12 dollars for two miniature bars of soap. As far as I could see chocolate tour was no better. Pre made chocolate poured into mold, you just put some nuts and fruit on top.

The tour was really entertaining, I would definitely recommend if traveling with children or teens. While being an educational guide on the history of chocolate making, it allows for a hands on experience and taste testing. We did both tours, but the one that allows you to enter the factory and make your own chocolate we highly recommend.

Paying for this left me feeling more than cheated. When I researched our trip I felt like the reviews were a little confusing. Some mention it being a rip off with only a video for your money and others talk about making chocolate bars and soap. If I’m recalling correctly the chocolate bar making is included in the description.
I booked for our family thinking even if it was a video and making of a bar for each of us we’d still learn about the process and enjoy ourselves.
I was so disappointed and left feeling very mislead. Twenty-some dollars and this is what you get:
1. Mix of video and soundtrack on chocolate history and production in four rooms you walk through( the tv was off in one room so we just listened to the soundtrack)
2. In room #2, one raw cocoa bean with pulp on it so you can taste the pulp
3. In room #4 an employee offers pieces of each of the Kahkow chocolate bars so you can taste the difference between the percentages of cocoa.
4. Being told at the end it’s another $8 to make a chocolate bar, you can’t do it today, and being lead to the gift shop.

To top it off the very friendliest employee was only moderately civil.

If I could give this a negative number I would.

Awesome chocolate factory & shop. Came here in the afternoon for the factory tour ($7) where you get to know the process of making chocolate & then make your own chocolate bar with a choice of dark, milk or white.
I can honestly say this was one of the highest quality chocolate bars that I have had the pleasure of eating.

This was worth every dollar. A small but handsome place; you follow each step of the chocolate-making process, tasting cocao beans and chocolate as you go. If you pay for the extra workshop, you get to make your own chocolate bar at the end, which was a hit with the kids. We did not buy the soap workshop, so I can't comment on that.

The place is very nice. However, the experience was very plain. The cacao process is interesting, but the lady spoke too fast and the whole tour didn't last enough. Making chocolate at home is more exciting than paying some dollars to pick two ingredients and pour chocolate into a mold. Waiting for the chocolate took longer than the whole activity.

This in an incredible experience! The chocolate products and education are worth 5 stars. However, because of reservation issues I’m giving this a 4/5 star experience. My husband and I arrived at 10am for a 10:25am tasting as instructed in the voucher, and we were not seen for 45 minutes. There was no staff person at the desk or anywhere in the building. I went to ask the person passing by refilling the hand sanitizing gel stations who to talk to about our reservation. They said our tasting had already started without us. After the tasting staff released the group I asked him about our experience. He said we had no reservation in their system. I booked directly through the kahkow website. I showed him our vouchers. After that, he took us into the tasting lab to create our chocolate bars and the tour. We were happy to make purchases at the cafe and store afterwards.

I love my experience. Getting to know the history of the company and the delicious recipes, I visited it 3 times in different trips. I am originally from the Dominican Republic and I am a US citizen for over 20 years. My first visit was with my mom , them my friend Gina and last I took my husband and all 3 were completely different . My second visit I got to make soap out of cacao. I love the feeling of the soap in my skin. The first one with my mom was all about chocolate, forget about the Nutella, they have an avellanas chocolate to die for it. Can tell you enough.. try the ice cream too!!

I recommend doing the tour where you create your own chocolate bar! The staff is very friendly and explains the entire process. It only takes a few minutes and then you have to wait for another 15 for the chocolate bar to cool down.
