A great tour that is free. You can purchase souvenirs at the end and tip the tour guide. Her English was pretty good and her presentation was excellent! If you have the time, take this free tour.

This museum is dedicated to the unique stones found in Dominican Republic, most specificallyAmber. You will only find Amber and Larimar jewelry in this store . The workmanship and the quality of the stones, however, is much superior to what you can find in other gift shops. This locale is a museum as well. The entrance of the museum is a staircase whose handrail is made of amber. It is a small but extremely interesting place, well worth a visit.

100 RD per person Had a guide but unfortunately I can't understand Spanish. Reading took too long but there is the option of English in that case. Iffy on if I would come again, but it was a nice stop.

They charge a small fee (in local currency of dollars) to go upstairs and see the amber exhibits. We had an English-speaking guide who hurried us through. I thought that we would then have the hard sell to buy something but it really wasn't. In addition there was cool drinking water and a good bathroom available. Those were worth the price alone! The amber exhibits were definitely interesting.

Brunilda and Janet were an amazing guides. They were very friendly and helped me with my Spanish. She was very patient with me and gave me a lot of information. I will definitely visit again.
