Done this trip twice now and found it to be just as exciting both times. The climb up can be a little challenging but that just adds to the enjoyment. But the trip back down is awesome lol, topped off by the stunning location, highly recomend it :)

Took this trip with my girlfriend and another couple. Took about a half hour to hike up the mountain to get to the top of the falls. Once there, it was very refreshing getting into the water. We used DSRR Taxi Service for this excursion from Riu Merengue. Please contact Rosario with DSRR if you decide to take this trip.... More

As for myself not being in shape, the initial time getting to the water falls was challenging. But once there it is so worth it as you jump into the water being refreshed and energized by the beautiful site and crystal clear water. Once in a life time experience that I won't forget as these was natural with no artifice... More

If you are in good enough shape, consider doing all 27 as this helped us avoid the cruise ship big groups and have more fun. Sturdy water shoes or sneakers is recommended as the hike is fairly long and hard and then there is a bit of walking over rocky surfaces in the stream. Guides were great and we felt... More

this was a great tour we learnt alot from our guide. the views on the mountain were great. the shoes they rent their are extremely poor so good running shoes are important. this tour is scary a bit with jumping and sliding, but fun.

This was a great excursion. We had a party of 5 including a 10 year old. We originally signed up for the 12 waterfalls, but decided to do the 27 after talking with our guide. The hike itself was pretty easy. Once you reach the top you are jumping in the water off rocks and/or sliding with the current of... More

This is probably the best excursion I've ever been on. If you are in Puerto Plata I highly recommend you do this. I booked a megaexcursion which included going through 12 of the waterfalls at Damajaqua, the hike up was a bit intensive, but worth it! Being able to see the waterfalls, the rocks and the scenery is incredible. One... More

Bit of a hike up, but worth it! it's really an awesome experience. My advice is to wear sneakers that you're okay getting wet! don't rent the water shoes, my boyfriend did and his feet were sore and blistered for days.
