Downsides: Not the nicest beach in La Romana area, you have many rocks at the sea’s bottom. No Long Beach to walk, Minitas is rather small. Upsides: transparent water, very clean, no tides, no large waves so you can chill out at the shore or...More

The beach was really good and the service excellent. You can enjoy a wonderful time with family in this area and if you’re patient find some fish around the area (this means clean area). The security is very good and your kids are safe here.

Minitas beach is beautiful! Perfect weather during our trip. There is even a restaurant near the beach that we ventured to for lunch. The beach is easily accessible by golf cart.

We spent the week here. Every morning we came to swim and snorkel. Our kids (2 and 5) loved it. They could stand in the water pretty far out. It was never too crowded even on the weekends. Never any trouble finding chairs (10 am,...More

Playa Minitas is really beautiful. It is really peaceful and relaxing. It is located in Casa de Campo, so to get here, you'll be able to watch a lot of cool houses!

Not a terrific Caribbean beach. Appears to be man made. Punta Cana and Bayahibe have vastly superior beaches. The water is clearer and prettier. And, even more disconcerting, we went back the next day after our first visit and discovered the restaurant and bar totally...More

Minitas Beach was easily accessible by golf cart from our room. It was a great spot to relax after 18 holes of golf. Plenty of servers available to bring cocktails to your lounge chair at the beach. Be careful where you walk in the water...More

I don't know for sure, but I don't think so. It's barely walking distance within the resort and if my memory is correct, I think the port is a few miles up the shore.
