My family and friends-- 16 in total visited the caves recently. We were staying in Casa de Campo which is about 20-25 minutes away. It wasn't very busy, so we had the tour guide pretty much to ourselves. Amazing caves and native drawings. The pathways are easy to navigate and the elevator was working. Easy for a 3 year old... We went on our own. Once we arrived, we bought our tickets and we went it right away. Not busy at all. Guide comes and explains a bit...I do not understand why they do not allow people to take pictures?? even without the flash....really? Ok....Caves were nice, they did a really nice job with the lighting and ramps. They have... More

It was hot but to lay eyes on this cave system was incredible. Not for the unstable as there is lots of stairs and rock steps that can be daunting, but worth every step.

Fantastic cave , excursión every 15 minutes, we arrived at 1pm and we saw couples security sitting on the front next to main area, we got our tickets, and we walked to the gifts shop , please you need to update the locos souvenirs, very older and faded. Our tour guide was good but would be better if she smile... More

Beautiful place. Staff is very kind and professionals. The ticket is $20 so don't spend $89 for tour from hotels. The cave is unbelievable. Camera use is prohibited.

We visited the Caves of Wonders on a Sunday. It was very slow and quiet. We were a group of six with 4 adults and 2 children. The cost was relatively inexpensive with $300 pesos for adults and $100 for children. We had a tour guide for our small group. She spoke very good english. The inside of the caves... More

A brilliant place to visit, impressive entrance and well maintained safe area. Washrooms are located to the right of the entrance reception - a visit to the caves is by guided tour only - photographers are allowed but definitely no flash photography - the guides prefer that you take photo's from certain vantage points that they suggest - but contrary... Went to La Romana as a diversion from another port on a cruise. Although this was available from the boat, we hired a private taxi for the day. The caves were nice. It is small compared other caverns I have visited but it was beautiful. Since the portion of the caves you can explore (only with a guide) this is... More
