- Toni_London123Addlestone, United Kingdom173 contributionsSuperb amazing experienceAmazing to see both in Wally’s glass bottom boat the sun lover They find the sculptures you can see in the boat and take you to surface snorkel to see from the sea. We were with a 6 year old and he loved it and they took great care for him. Great to see amazing experienceVisited October 2023Travelled with familyWritten October 27, 2023
- Andy MOttawa, Canada68 contributionsInteresting art in the ocean. The sculptures were amazing and we did the visit as a dive with Dive Grenada who are fabulous and highly recommended. The sculpture are very interesting although we missed a couple of them, isn’t easy to find them all. It was fairly busy with a combo of divers and snorkelers and unfortunately the visibility was less than amazing the day we went. Would love to do it again on a calm day.Visited January 2024Travelled with familyWritten January 9, 2024
- ZocoughPhiladelphia, Pennsylvania47 contributionsGreat Snorkle TripSuch a beautiful trip to see these unique buried sculptures. We snorkeled around the whole area and could see all the great art pieces with ease. I enjoyed hearing their stories from our tour guides on the boat. The water was rough the day we went so it was not as clear as the pictures in the ad, fair warning. But still so cool, glad we did it. There's also a great variety of fish to see in the area.Visited April 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten April 25, 2024
- suer2101London, United Kingdom5 contributionsGreat Underwater Sculpture Park3 of us undertook the snorkelling trip & 2 did the dive trip out to the Underwater Sculpture Park. Snorkelling with a Rep from Eco Dive was informative & enjoyable. The divers also enjoyed their trip. Would highly recommend them.Visited April 2024Travelled with friendsWritten April 29, 2024
- Christy HJustin, Texas22 contributionsWell worth the moneyOne of the best snorkeling excursions ever. The captain and his crew took great care of us. There was only one other boat in the area while we snorkel for over an hour with Marvel guiding us through the sculptures and their meaning. Great lunch on the beach with a swim and an hour of relaxation. Easy in and out of the marina and a short 10 minute ride to Sandals Resort. Highly recommendVisited May 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten May 16, 2024
- NewarkScubaDiverNewark, New Jersey326 contributionsNo photos do justice to the diveYou must experience this dive. The sculptures are separated by distance and theme - meaning this is not a 15-minute dive for a photo op. They are simply beautiful. No photos do justice to the dive. I found both the visibility and temperature to be great. There can be a small current - which on our dive was helpful.Visited July 2024Travelled soloWritten August 11, 2024

The concept of a sculpture park underwater is interesting, but I feel like it would be more appealing if it were in shallower water near the beach...Great if you are scuba diving, but a bit of a snore if you are snorkeling.
The depth and location at which most of the sculptures are make the visibility and clarity a bit of a gamble when you go. When you do go and their are cruise ships, expect an ant hills worth of cruise ship guests filling out your pictures.
If you are snorkeling in the area. Flamingo Bay is far more beautiful and with a bevy of sea fans pulsing with the currents, its more captivating than any of the pieces at the sculpture garden.

My wife and I snorkeled the Underwater Sculpture park in Grenada in late January. Dive Grenada took us out to visit the park and we found it to be amazing. The sculptures were placed in this location after a hurricane destroyed the reef. The sculptures are helping to rebuild the reef and are changing constantly. We also saw lots of fish and squid. Some of the sculptures include a ring of children holding hands, man at a desk using a computer, Christ, and many others. Dive Grenada did a great job and our guide was very informative. Well worth a visit.

Went with Eco Dive on morning snorkel trip - super interesting park with about 8 sculptures. Water was chilly for us so didnt stay as long as we wouldve liked. Scuba folks can interact with sculptures. Nice way to spend a few hours morning or afternoon.

Great snorkeling with thoughtful hosts, Captain Howard and Kimmie. Pure delight. The water is warm. Kimmie explains the sculptures as he guides you to each area. He’s also one of the contributing artists. They are committed to the ecology of the area and share the conservation efforts as well as the flora and fauna of the island. Pure delight!

Somewhat spooky (think postmodernists underwater enveloped in algae and sea urchins). Really shallow dive but cool to descend into mini canyons where some of the more reclusive sculptures were situated. We didn’t think snorkeling would be that fun ...

If you enjoy water activities this is a must while in Grenada.
My family and I stopped off at this wonderful underwater attraction while on a boat ride and it was definitely the highlight of the day. Snorkeling in the crystal clear waters while viewing lovely sculptures that all told a story. Highly recommend .

This is one of those sights that you cannot miss while in Grenada. I went on a snorkeling tour with Eco Dive, and I highly recommend them. Ashley, our main guide, was great and she led the way to each sculpture and explained what they were and their history.

This was by far the best excursion I've ever been on. What set this over the top were the guides that took us on the trip. I believe their names were Cleveland, Ed, and Cameron. Cleveland in particular was outstanding. Aside from telling us everything we needed to know about the safety and instructions on how to use the equipment, he provided so much information about the island and landmarks as we took the boat ride to our location. He told us how he started with Sandals about 9 years ago and is on the verge of getting his scuba instructor license. I can't remember the name of the guy wearing the red shirt in my photo, but he was another reason we enjoyed the trip. Between Cleveland and him, they had great personalities and really enjoyed their jobs. I didn't even mention the "snuba" experience yet. That was awesome! He told us all about the sculptures, the background of the sculptor, and everything we saw underwater. I can't recommend these guys enough. My buddy and I did this on our last day in Grenada and the trip couldn't have ended any better. If you ever take this trip, make sure you ask for the guys I mentioned above!

Lovely family focused morning trip on the dive boat - thoroughly looked after by the team at EcoDive. The trip had 2 stops one at the reef and the other at the statues. Beautiful, slightly eerie, thought provoking - fun had by all. Would recommend.

This is simply takes your breath away. Have snorkelled in many places and seen ship wrecks, shoals of fish but this was quite surreal. Albeit man made and a limited life span this was worth every penny to see so many statues. Make sure you have a good guide who knows where they all are , as they are spread over quite a wide area. Ours was brilliant , Marc Jehle, Corsair Experiences

Did you book the tour directly or with a group. I am not a swimmer, but was thinking of taking the glass bottom boat to see this. We leave on Saturday

Can you access this site on your own, I mean without a tour/boat? thanks!

I do think you have to hire a little motorboat. It is too far out, from land not easily reachable. We were on a catamaran with friends.

Gostaria se saber sobre valores, duração do passeio e se há transfer do porto ?
Written December 13, 2018
Any of the dive shops would be a good place to check prices and duration of the tours. Most of the dive companies also include other reefs to snorkel or dive with the same trip. A couple of suggestions would be Dive Grenada and Eco Dive on Grand Anse beach.

We have 4 in our group and 3 of us want to snorkel at the sculptures but the other one doesn't snorkel and doesn't like boats. Is there any way for us to go to the beach there, she hangs on the beach while the others go snorkeling ? Tia

Yeah agreed, no beachfront, but there were people snorkelling off the coast as well... so maybe... frankly skip it if you like snorkelling... there is more interesting reefs to goto, I wouldn’t even say there was much of a reef there, the statues are sorta a tourist trap to take snorkelling there.

Is this a tour children can do? We have two boys ages 9 and 7 that are very good swimmers, do you think they can handle it
Written May 27, 2018
There are two currents that run near by the handlers were worried about, the statues are probably at 3-4 m down.
Written July 14, 2018
Interested in seeing this. How deep are the statues? Can you swim out from shore or is a boat necessary? Thanks
Written February 1, 2018
Hello, about 3-6 meters.... if you are a good snorkeler, you can dive see them closer and surface after that:)
depending on the waves, the visibility can be blurred as there is a lot of sand at the bottom where the sculptures are standing..
have fun!

yes, to go underwater you'll need your diving certification. dive shops will also offer a resort dive cert that's only good for while you're on the island. They teach you the basics and have you do some diving in a pool and then allow you to go with a divemaster on limited depth trips.
it's not an ideal way to dive since it can be very unnerving to go under for the first time but if it's not going to freak you out that people do it at resorts all over the world.

Hello! We will be staying at sandals in Grenada in a couple of months. Can you see the underwater culture if you don't dive, or snorkel? Are there glass bottom boats for this, or is it too deep? How deep is it?
Written December 31, 2017
Sandals has a glass bottom boat, so you should be able to see the sculptures on a clear day.
