Very beautiful scenery, nice and easy trails to walk on and go to the sea and around the Bay area. Easy to get there from Saint-François.

Fantastic place, you have the impression to be at the end of the world, far from everything. Take your time to get around, spend some time at the beach (be aware, huge waves!), climb up to the cross and admire the views. Quite unique views. Minimum training is still required.

We stopped here for 10 minutes for photos as part of our cruise ship island tour. It's a beautiful coast line with beach and rocky areas that will make for some great photos. The parking area was small and crowded, but then you could wander off to take photos from there.

One of the most beautiful places in the world. You have to drive decently far to reach it but it's so gorgeous and you won't regret it

This incredible land and sea scape stays well hidden until you get out of your car and walk up and over a small ridge. And then the sight takes your breathe away. Craggy and dramatic rocks formations, a wildly rolling surf, and open sky and ocean across a wide horizon. Just the small offshore island of La Desirade between here and Africa.

They say they built the cross up there to protect the island from potential storms etc . We went to the point on our first day. Beautiful drive from Le Gosier through st ann and st Francois to get there. About 25 min hike but there's nice vistas to take pics so about 35 m each way I'd say... We stayed for a bit up by the cross but it was hot. There's some candles and prayer remnants around...unreal views and it's where Carribean sea and Atlantic meets for it's pretty crazy ocean wise as well. Vendors serve refreshments and souvenir at base. A spiritual experience.

Loved the views from this area. The rock formations and the wave action were so photogenetic. So worth coming here.
The walk from the parking area is not long but uneven; so do take care when you are walking around the area.

Great day trip from St. Anne or St. Francois. A short trail takes you to see amazing views of the peninsula at the end of Guadeloupe island and beautiful rock formations in the ocean. Stunning. We got lucky and as we came off the trail caught site of a beautiful rainbow over the ocean. A highlight of our trip to Guadeloupe.

Researching Guadeloupe Pointe des Chateaux was mentioned so many times that I almost got sick of it and so biased that I did consider removing it from our to do list... I AM SO GLAD WE DID NOT remove it and came to this amazing place!!!

The power of the ocean, the views, the fresh air - absolutely stunning place! It was one of my two most favorite places on the entire Guadeloupe - while Pointe des Chateaux faced east, ironically the other place is a similar attraction where you get to "feel and smell" the nature and ocean breezes at facing west/sunset Le Phare Vieux Fort (the old Fort Lighthouse) in the completely opposite part of Guadeloupe, the very southwest region in town of Vieux Fort - if you enjoy Pointe des Chateaux you will enjoy that one as well!

I am raving all about it and we didn't even do the hike up the hill!!! We didn't come prepared enough (flip flops aren't my type of hiking shoes :P) and this was our very last time on an busy day - so even though people say flip flops are fine, other group we spoke that did that, I would say still normal shoes, WATER! and sunscreen - it's not a long road up you are literally in the open air and despite the breezes and moisture in the air cooling you down you are most likely burning in the sun every moment you stand or walk in there as there is absolutely no shade :)

TIP: make sure to stop at La Douche on the way here - it's literally on the way and it's also a cool "ocean experience"

TIP: plenty of parking, actual parking lot along the road and some gift shops and some coconut water/something to eat and drink spot selling good as well
