We got there around 1pm, after doing some other sightseeing, We got a little scared seeing cars lined up for a mile or two even before you got to the park entrance to start hike parked on both sides of road. We were able to drive all the way to the top and find a parking spot next to Volcano... More

Someone told us that La Soufriere gets over 300 days of cloud in a year, so if you are climbing for the views, don't. Climb for the adventure, climb for the challenge, climb because it's a VOLCANO, but don't climb for the views, because you will surely be disappointed. Or try going REALLY early in the morning, before the clouds... More

This was a wonderful hike of about 1&1/2 hr each way for our group of 3 60-65 yr olds. The weather cooperated and we did not see any rain as is commonly seen in this tropical volcano. We also spent about 40 mins at the volcano, inhaling the slightly sulphur infused steam from the active vent. we were so fortunate... More

This was a fun and interesting hike despite hiking in clouds for the majority of it. The views must be amazing on a clear day. It was wet and very windy at the top. Make sure you take time to see the vents after you reach the summit. The first part of the hike is relatively easy as you hike... More

Get to the parking lot early, before eight in the morning, the parking area is small and fills up quickly. My husband and I are in our mid fifties, in decent shape and got up and down with out problems, but we were quite sore afterwards. The last part of the hike up is somewhat challenging. Make sure to wear... More

Great hike v warm and not easy but well worth it. You will need to bring something to nibble & plenty of liquid as no shop or loo for at least 3 hrs. Took about 2 hours to get up to the top and a slow walk back down the same way as up which seemed harder to us. Well... More

The hike to the top took us about 2 hours (with lots of stops to take pictures). It's not an easy hike, but when you get to look in the mouth of the volcano, it's worth it. It does get cold and extremely windy at the top even though it's warm and calm below, so take a jacket -- preferably... More

We did not make it to the top because we did not arrive early enough. Staying in Grande Terre, we could not do it. If coming back we would stay close and do the hike. The road to get there is not na easy one and cars were parked along the road for a good while from the entrance. After... More

This was a great 1/2 day hike. Took my fiance and I about 3 hours up and down. We got to the parking area at 8 am and got the last spot that wasn't along the side of the road. The road up to the parking area is narrow and windy with lots of switchbacks, but it's worth the drive... More

La Soufriere Volcano is an amazing hike depending on the weather. Finding the entrance to the park is a little hard but once you find it, you can easily follow the trail to the volcano.
