I am a beach fanatic and in most cases in booking a hotel room is beach access. Directly across the street from the hotel was perfect. The sand was warm and the water was cool at first but eventually I adjusted to the temperature. Food, drinks, lounge chairs, and umbrellas were available. The views awesome one of my top five... Visited Doctor's Cave Beach on my last day in Jamaica. It was a nice little spot to see the ocean and get in some sun. This sits along a shopping district, not too far from the resorts and within walking distance of Margaritaville with a waterslide upstairs. Cool place to stop if you are looking for a no nonsense tourist... More

Nicer than Negril beaches, in my opinion. Fewer tourists, except when cruise ships arrive, but still a really lovely local beach. $US6 admission; $US6 chair; $US umbrella. Great location with entrance on the shopping strip of Montego Bay. Restaurant offers food & drink. Toilets, changing rooms, outdoor showers

If you are going to this beach, stay away when the cruiseships are in port. Then it is packed! The beach have life guards, toilets and changing rooms. Entrance, umbrellas, sunbeds are 6 USD each! Waiters are serving you drinks and food. The beach has loose sandy soils, so it can be a bit tricky to get out of the... More

After our boat adventure was cancelled due to high winds, we decided to spend the day here based on advice from others. The beach was uncrowded (there were no cruise ships docked this day) and we had a fantastic day. The water is beautiful, the mood was relaxing, and the service was spectacular. Our server, Daniella, made sure that our... More

I love the beach, not over crowded, I used Biggs bar to access the beach, no fees and excellent wait staff.Spectacular sunsets. I am not a fan of the "Hip Strip" I hate being hassled/hustled and tortured by loud Jamaicans. I finally had to say to several "just stop talking to me". I came here for peace and tranquility not... by far Doctor's Cave is my all time favorite beach of all in Jamaica. It's crisp and clear turquoise waters. There is no sea grass close to the shore (like in Negril and Ocho Rios) or kelp. I love that it's right on Gloustershire Avenue too!!!! Easy access to Margaritaville!!!!!!
